Our stay at Residence Columbo was great. I'm very familiar with Rome since I used to live in Italy. We chose this location for a convenient middle ground between the beach and the city. The gym at this location was the deciding factor. We're big fitness enthusiasts and like to workout daily (even when on vacation). Unfortunately, upon checking in we were told the gym would be closed during our entire 6-night stay due to repairs and the ferrie holiday. This was a huge disappointment. We stayed positive about the situation as there's a huge park across the street and we were able to do some light workouts. Due to delayed flights, we stressed out about checking in before 2300. The stress was not needed at all! We had our key waiting for us in a lockbox at the entrance. We found this out by calling the number located at the entrance for after hour check ins. Websites say the lobby closes at 2300 however the voicemail states the lobby closes at 2200 which is what we experienced. The room was great. The shower didn't drain properly. We notified the lobby and the maintenance man was there minutes later. The drain was fixed within 30 min!!! AWESOME SERVICE! Upon checkout, we were not charged for parking, laundry, or the cleaning fee. This was a kind gesture that was well welcomed since we were unable to utilize the gym. We will stay here again next year, for sure. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Grazie Residence Columbo! See you next year!!!! =)
