The Hotel Astoria in Vico Equense was the perfect place to stay. The hotel is cozy, welcoming, and in an excellent location. It’s right next to the train station, making it easy to travel to Sorrento and explore the surrounding area. The hotel has a beautiful view and a lovely terrace where you can sit, relax, and enjoy the scenery. You can also walk around town and find plenty of excellent restaurants just minutes away. The staff was incredibly friendly, and our room was spotless throughout our stay. The daily breakfast was also very good and offered a nice variety to start the day. We decided to rent a small car from the rental agency right next door, and we were able to park behind the hotel for only €10 per night, which was very convenient. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and were able to explore the entire Amalfi Coast from this great location. We would definitely stay here again!

Chiara was terrific! Her English is excellent and recommends great. There is no elevator and all rooms are located upstairs. Pay parking is by a private, separate party, up a hill behind the building. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay in Vico Equense and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for travelers looking for a quieter alternative to Sorrento. The location was excellent, with beautiful views and right beside the train station, making it very convenient for day trips to Sorrento, Pompeii, and Naples. We took the airport shuttle from Naples Airport to Vico Equense (Curreri Viaggi bus - we booked this online but some people bought onsite with cash but would depend on availability), which was very easy and took just over an hour. From the bus drop-off point, it was about a 5-minute walk with luggage, but it was manageable. Check-in was smooth, and although there was no elevator, the staff kindly helped carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated. The room itself was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The continental breakfast was basic, but convenient and perfectly adequate for our stay. We didn’t rent a car and managed just fine using public transportation. One thing to keep in mind is that there were trains every 30 mins or so, but they were often crowded and mostly delayed by 10-15 mins. Also, if you’re planning visits to Amalfi, Positano, or Capri, you’ll need to go to Sorrento first to catch the ferries. That’s something worth considering when deciding where to stay. Overall, if you choose to stay in Vico Equense, this hotel is an excellent choice and offers a peaceful base away from the busier crowds of Sorrento.

This is a family run hotel. They are so helpful and keen to make your holiday a success. It is in a great location near to the train and bus station. We had lovely rooms with wonderful views of Vesuvius. The breakfast was very good and the service excellent. Vico Equense is much quieter and more ‘Italian’ than Sorrento. Lots of good restaurants nearby.
