For our family of four, we had two adjacent rooms. The casanova annex is in an excellent position, close to the central block and steps from the main block. We couldn't have requested a more rudimentary, warm, and cozy room. We were able to eat breakfast with a view of the grand canal, which was wonderful. There are restaurants and other recommendations provided by the concierge, who was very helpful. I needed to be able to heat water, so the front desk kindly distributed an instant kettle. Although the rooftop bar is pricey, my husband and son had a wonderful time one evening there. Without a doubt, I would return to this place.

I love staying here! Although I was a little skeptical because there weren't many reviews, this hotel is a part of the 5-star Bauer hotel's annex building. It's essentially right next door and in a smaller nice building. The bed was incredibly soft and the room was incredibly cozy. Beautiful marble and a separate tub and shower are the features of the bathroom. On San Marco Island, the location is ideal, and it is blocks away from the piazza, and all of Venice's famous shopping is right outside the door. If I were to visit Venice's most amazing city, I wouldn't think twice to stay here again. You won't regret it.

We went there as a couple to celebrate our anniversary and birthday in the romantic city of Venice, and it was our first encounter with it. We reserved with Sarah Smith, our vacation travel advisor. Arriving in my private water taxi at the fantastic hotel Casa nova bauer, very quaint, with classically lovely Italian decorated, comfortable rooms and immaculate 5 piece luxurious bathrooms. Breakfast was served on the terrace veranda at the great hotel Bauer Palazzo, which is an annex of the main hotel and only steps from the main bauer overlooking the grand canal, with a wonderful variety of options buffet breakfast. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Mark's Square, 5 minutes from san marco vampettas, and 20 minutes from realtor bridge. We went to the sister hotel Bauer Palladium spa in Giudidecca, which had stunning gardens and wellness. We stayed for four nights and also booked the free Venice walking tour, which we read in a tour guide. It was a must-do as we explored the northern districts and venice's history. A wonderful unforgettable city break to Venice, Italy.

Every year, we stay at the Bauer Casa nova for 45 nights. We're a group of 7, so everyone had a good time. Excellent service and breakfast. The cleaners were doing their job every day and we were toasted in the heat! Many thanks to the outstanding employees, their flawless, prompt, and quick check-in and check-out. We love Bauer.

Although I'm not sure what will happen to Residence Grunwald, since it utilizes all of the hotel baker's facilities, it might also close. We have stayed at the Hotel Bauer sister hotel to Residence Grunwald in Venice a couple of times. We had only been in venice for one night, so we thought we'd try the residence grunwald. This property, which is in a different building about a minute's walk from the hotel bauer, uses all of the hotel's lobby, checking, dining, etc., it does not have the stunning canal views that the bauer offers. Our room at the Residence Grounwald was very clean and very big, with a comfortable bed, and a stunning marble bathroom with a separate tub and shower. Piazza San Marco is only a 5-minute walk away. It was a great value. Please keep in mind that the hotel bauer will be closing in 2022 because the rosewood hotels company has purchased it and is implementing a multiyear renovation.
