In honor of our oneyear anniversary, my husband and I stayed at La Face for three wonderful nights in November. It was a little too cold to swim in our spacious and cozy room, which featured stunning views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. We had a very inviting pool just steps from our front door, with some comfortable chairs next to it, which was excellent for viewing the magnificent Tuscan sunsets or sunrises. We were the only guests on the property, and our morning breakfasts were excellent. On our first morning, we enjoyed a fantastic selection of cheeses, pastries and cakes, meats, fruit, and cereal. In a welcoming library, which included a variety of lovely books about travel, art, and, of course, gardening, we were seated. My husband and I had to run out of our seats because our surroundings were nearly too comfortable, and there isnt often enough to keep us from the stunning Italian wine region. The gorgeous La Face gardens were finally open on the morning of our departure. I could have spent the entire day strolling on the lovely flowers and shrubs and discovering the little paths that scurry up the wooded hillside. It was a real dream to walk through the gardens and take in the breathtaking rolling hills that surrounded the property. It was a truly thrilling experience to walk through the gardens and enjoy the views of the stunning rolling hills that surrounded the property. I

This was our third stay at La Face, but this was our first at the newly opened be palazzo on the estate. The room was large, cool, spotless, and accommodating. We remained in one of two rooms on the first floor called the rosario room, which looked out over the hills of Val Dorsia. Breakfast was served in a common area on the same floor and was a typical but perfectly adequate Italian prima colazione with coffee, tea, juices, fruit, yogurt, etc. Youll enjoy another bella vista from the beautiful pool, which is only accessible to palace visitors. Your stay at La Face includes a tour of the estates lovely formal garden, which youll want to take advantage of. However, you must have a car unless you want to stay in and enjoy the estates peaceful gardens. We rented one in Rome, which is about a twohour drive away. Youll then be wellpositioned to take day trips from Be to Montepulciano, pizza, chips, Chianciano terms, Montalcino, Sienna and Flornce, and more. An ideal vacation!.

Back in march for our visit at the beginning of August 2017, I was able to secure the last available room right here. This room faced the back of the property so we didn't get any lovely views from the windows, but I knew there was probably a reason as it was the last available room! The room itself was fine and the bathroom was very spacious and clean, although the bath amenities could be updated as they looked quite old and the lotion wasn't actually full. The property is in a great position and given the heat wave while we were there, the pool was a welcome convenience. Related to the heat, I was disappointed that no air conditioning on the property not in our room and not in the common breakfast area for the cost we paid per night. We would have been happy with a functioning fan, but the only one the housekeeper had for our room was old and didn't work very well. Let me make it very clear - air conditioning is not a type. Both of us dislike air conditioning and prefer fans, but that was a real factor in our comfort with temperature etc. But, with weather, we didn't dry off every night before bed, so we could sleep comfortably in a cold bath. Also, it would have been nice if there had been a few additional amenities for guests, possibly wine and cheese in the evening, considering that the nearest restaurant, which is also owned by the property,
