“Check in” was the only good thing about this hotel after I’d pestered via WhatsApp. B&B - what a joke! There is a bed and there are kitchen facilities within a communal area but don’t expect served breakfast. I’d read the reviews and had anxiety about staying here. Our first night was ok. It was a place to sleep after a long days travel and site seeing. The second night, we returned from site seeing and was disappointed with how some other guests had left the communal bathroom. Their belongings (underwear included) were left scattered across the bathroom (which they’d also locked behind themselves). It remained like that for 3-4 hours. This made me very uncomfortable so much so we left that evening and found another hotel outside of Milan, unfortunately at a considerable cost as an event had ramped up the prices but worth it for a comfortable nights sleep and our own bathroom in cleaner facilities. I’ve not bothered raising any of the above to the hotel as I wouldn’t have confidence they’d be all that interested.

They didn’t even send check in information until almost 2 hours past check in. Terrible hotel and I would not recommend.

We stayed at BB Tortona for 3 nights and would never recommend this experience. There were several dodgy things around it and the services/offerings shown online don’t match what you get. Before the check-in we received a message saying that if we leave the 10/10 review straight away, we won’t have to pay for one night of city tax. We suspect this is why this place isn’t rated 1/10 but higher as the city tax is quite expensive. When it comes to a room itself, the bathroom is shared with several rooms (not mentioned clearly online). The windows have a black tape so there’s no sun coming through the windows. The TV in our room didn’t even have a cable and when we messaged about it we received a response that you can watch only Netflix with your own account. First of all, the TV was not even working due to the lack of the cable, second of all, the advertising also offers the cable channels (the offering online doesn’t match what you get ). There were problems with the lights in the building two times during our stay meaning that the black windows plus no lights meant we had to stay with our flashlights on. The wall just above the bed had lots of stains and one of the towels we received was dirty. The offering also mentions a free coffee 24/7 but while the coffee machine is there, there’s no coffee available. Generally speaking, the place feels more like a prison and it was a total disappointment and waste of money.
