Before a very informative tour of casa cuse that our hosts usually conduct, even before we saw the henry faulkner room that was reserved for us, was mentioned a secret room that hadnt been opened in nearly 100 years. Also, Maria informed us that the name of the artist responsible for several paintings on the walls in our room would be revealed to us later, but no, not now! There is an authentic love story to be discovered. So that was just the beginning of our threenight visit to what is officially the art museum of the city of Tarmina. There are 5 or 6 lovely and spacious rooms for rent in this truly ancient building and beautiful grounds, most of which have balconies overlooking the city, the sea, and, oh, I almost forgot, the eversmoking it eta. The owners and all of the staff were so kind and considerate. I was shown a video clip of andrea bacilli sitting on the piano in the living room of the library, preparing for his annual concert in the ancient Greek theatre down many steps in the middle of the city, and it was just by chance. One of the best hotels I've stayed at, it was run by people who genuinely adore it and are proud of the building's heritage and past. wonderful art and history. Great gardens even though they lacked maintenance after the Couid lockdown. Fantastic breakfast. Our balcony was fantastic. I was impressed and very inspired by it. We had great views with eta erupting while we were there and sea vistas from where the hotel is located high on the mountain side. There is a lot of climbing stairs involved. The bedroom was the only thing I felt let down by. Mismatched furniture can be lovely, but this just seemed a little mean and a little charmless. But they have tried to preserve it as it was in its peak of creativity.

The dreamy sound of sleeping in a museum is true, but this place is a miracle. The atmosphere was immediately recognizable to us as soon as we arrived. It was not an ordinary hotel, instead, it was something remarkable. Beautiful garden. The room was big, with a very comfortable bed and real art on the walls. We slept in the room where Ernest Hemingway wrote his first novel. Imagine that?.

I booked a trip to Ireland and italy. You would have thought it had been a couid. All the hotels refunded our money but Casa de Charme all hotels were nice and wished us a quick recovery, but I wish you a casa de Charmeboo.
