Good location (being on one of best beaches I have ever swum on anywhere in the Med), beautiful grounds, very clean, a proper swimming pool, varied and plentiful food, and a staff team who were highly efficient and friendly. The decor is a bit quirky. There are lots of stencilled walls and ceilings with faded and somewhat random prints of 18th and 19th Century British sailing ships. At least this made a change from the bland shades of grey that seems to characterise lots of hotel chains. Check-in was find, but check-out was slow (as there were several guests leaving at once, but only one person on the desk and the card machine was unreliable. She was clearly doing her best under difficult circumstances and was suitably apologetic). It didn't matter to me as I had plenty of time, but it would have been a problem had my circumstances been different.

Lovely setting from which to enjoy the beach and explore the island generally. Superb friendly and helpful staff. If you like Italian food the definitely have evening meals which were delicious every night of the week.

I highly suggest staying at this resort. The hotel is conveniently located near a sandy beach, and only takes a few minutes to walk from it. The staff is helpful and kind, and the rooms are excellent and generous in size and area. With a varied menu of menus to please the discerning eater. The hotel and rooms have fast wifi. The morning buffet was really varied to delight the most discerning gastronome. The waiters serve the dinner at your table, which is served on a wide variety of menus. The fact that the menu was also available in both Italian, German, and English was a nice surprise. It doesn't matter in which language you asked. A fantastic location for groups of families with children.

I have been here with my wife for eight days and the hotel gave me an unpleasant experience. The hotel is located on a beach, which is bad because there is no bay and sea, and the wind blows very strongly. The room was spacious and clean, with a large balcony, but inside it smelled of mildew. Service to the room was good. The hotel is in an isolated area, so the first small town with restaurants and bars is far away, and there is rarely a transportation connection to this location. And what was really irritating to us was that the hotel did not have a cash atm. Will not go there if you don't have enough cash. We were very pleased with the food and kitchen on the other side. It was excellent and very diverse.

I would recommend this place. Totally satisfied with my experience at the colonel motel. The room is clean but a little smell of moisture due to the air conditioner. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I must say that their attitude made me quite satisfied.

Our third time here: it's a bit pricey but we're already talking about going back next year. Great location, good evening meals, charming staff, always very clean and fabulous pool. We quite like the aging decor but realise it is not to everyone's taste. Wi fi comes and goes depending on where you are on the site.

Hôtel simple avec un bon accueil professionnel. Les serveurs au restaurant sont souriants ainsi qu'à l accueil. La décoration est vieillotte mais propre. Chambres impeccables avec une bonne literie. Le parking n est pas pratique avec une poussette. Le prix est plutôt cher pour un hôtel correct sans plus.

I found this hotel to be absolutely lovely. The room was nice and clean, it has a wonderful garden, the pool is big and great for swimming, the staff are amazing, very kind and helpful. I was a bit scared after reading reviews that complained about the bed comfort and the noise but I really slept well, the bed was comfortable and it was pretty quiet overall. The only thing that could be significantly improved is the restaurant management. They seem to be understaffed so sometimes one could wait more than 10 minutes to get served at the bar. Instead of having a bar tender, they have waiters from the restaurant covering for the bar as well. The guys are doing their best but they are simply overwhelemed. Also, hotel guests who haven't booked half-board cannot have dinner at the hotel before 9 p.m., when the dinner for those who booked half-board has been finished. I was told the restaurant was fully booked so I imagine the restaurant capacity is lower than the one of the hotel, which is really strange. No idea what would they do if the hotel was fully booked and everyone opted for half-board?! Also, the bar has none of the local specialites such as crema di cafe or granita and the staff in the restaurant seem to be treated poorly even though they are doing an amazing job. Otherwise, everything was perfect, I really enjoyed my stay. For diving excurisons, I reccomend the Atlantica Boat in Porto Marana (10 mins walk) and for visiting La Maddalena, the reception staff can advise.
