5 stars is not enough for Conche Luxury Hotel. From the comprehensive information provided prior to arrival, to our welcome from Carla, the amazing, spacious room and wonderful amenities, this property ticks all the boxes. It is superbly located within the Sassi of Matera and it’s easy to access key sites. Carla provided us with a map, highlighting areas of interest. She also recommended numerous restaurants and even booked us in to one when we returned later in the afternoon. Her recommendation was spot on and our dinner was unforgettable. Carla’s customer focus and attention is second to none! The breakfast next morning was outstanding. You could not want for anything but included focaccias, a quiche like slice, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, sliced bread, bruschetta, scrambled eggs, any coffee you desired and cakes. It was AMAZING!! Don’t hesitate, this property has 4 rooms and if you’re coming to Matera, you should definitely stay here.

Without any reservations this trip and this location is worth every cent and more. Carla, our receptionist- beyond wonderful. Arranged our dinner reservations, arranged our taxi.. top notch treatment in every way. Breakfast was included and was outstanding. Can’t wait to come back again. Well done folks Go!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à Matera.Petite hotel 4 chambres ressemblants à des Sassi.Nous avions la chambres #10 petite et confortable avec une fenêtre. La chambre étaient propre et cosy. Situé ds la vieille ville de Matera où nous pouvons admirer le site et les Eglises. De belles petites boutiques avec artisans. De la gelato et de bons restaurants avec la cuisine typique. Le petit dejeuner très bon et personnalisé selon nos goûts.Yogourt fruis,omelette,pain de Matera, croissants et petits gâteaux.. La proprietaire et le personnel tres gentil et peuvent réserver pour les restos ainsi que le stationnement. Merci à vous de nous avoir rendu notre sejour agreable.Nous recommandons fortement cet hotel.Francine

A beautiful place! We had an amazing sassi room with all the historic charm plus modern, comfortable amenities including a bathtub. Staff is amazing too, so helpful and friendly. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, made the reservations and made sure we had a great experience there. Wonderful breakfast!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Conche Luxury Retreat, it’s gorgeous, truly unique, and Carla, the owner, is the best host imaginable. My mom celebrated her 70th birthday there, and Carla went above and beyond to make it an unforgettable experience. The location couldn’t be more perfect, with everything within walking distance, including several amazing restaurants. The room was spectacular, and the breakfast was outstanding!
