We did not have much of a good experience during our trip. We had two young children and four adults. The couple that managed the happy camps, terry and dawn, was one huge benefit. We wouldn't go back there again overall. In July 2017, we spent ten days in a California campground. The camping site was well-kept, and the lodging was adequate. When we were without a car, we were let down by hostile reception staff and a shortage of transportation alternatives. The black sand beach, which is well looked after on the side where you can rent sun loungers, was not as warm on the complimentary beach. The swimming area was very warm, suitable for our children, but not for the adults. There are several restrictions in the pool, and whistle-honky security personnel spoiled the fun.
