Just great place to stay. Quiet and relaxed, friendly staff. Close to everything with short walks 30-30 mins max to most places. Area it’s in is nice as well. All good

What a historically interesting and beautiful property. My only regret is that I didn't book for longer than one night. The staff is wonderfully helpful and the room was beautiful. I had tickets to Maggio Musicale and it was an easy walk across the bridge with directions provided by staff. My only suggestion is some signage to the check-in area. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, quiet surrounds. Walking distance to all major landmarks in Florence. Very friendly and helpful staff. No restaurant on site but breakfast is lovely and Giovanni has wonderful recommendations for where to eat. I didn’t have them but I’m told the cocktails are delicious. Didn’t use the pool which is small but would be a nice place to e to cool off after a day of touring

This review is for the Della Calza, the sister hotel of Horto, where we were offered a n opportunity to stay. The Horto, which we originally booked, and arrived at, looked very nice., however upon arrival, the receptionist, Cherish, offered us an upgrade to the newly renovated Della Calza. Della Calza had an excellent spa, where guests could enjoy complimentary 2 hour services daily. Our room was beautifully clean, well appointed, facing the courtyard. The breakfast, which was included in our package, was fantastic. Close to Boboli Gardens, to the Roman Gate, walking distance to the Ponte Vecchio. Located in a beautiful neighborhood, surrounded by trattorias, shops, artisan workshops. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, helpful with dinner reservations, getting tips on transportation, and nearby attractions. Laura (receptionist) and her companions were very helpful, recommended a nice day trip to Fiesole, a beautiful nearby town. She was always there with a smile, ready to answer any questions. The breakfast staff (Mena and Elenora) were superb, welcoming offering the best morning cappuccino to complement the delicious breakfast. Khan, the bartender, stood out as a friendly, polite young man that could whip up a nice old fashioned, a terrific negroni, and of course, the best aperol spritz around. We look forward to returning to the beautiful Della Calza. I’m glad we chose a courtyard facing room, as the traffic on the street can get quite busy. Highly recommend.

The hotel is gorgeous. You feel like you’re walking into a Tuscan villa, rather than a hotel in the city. Beautiful lobby with a bar. Rooms are very small, but with large bathrooms! Bed was comfortable and a king bed is a true king, not two twins pushed together (IYKYK). Very quiet and the rooms are pitch black all day if you are jet lagged. Staff was wonderful. Would def stay again!

Beautiful hotel in a calm yet centrally located building. It is a renovated convent and it’s beautiful, and the neighborhood has a lot of local restaurants and shops and is great to walk around. It is a 15 minute walk to Ponte Vecchio. The room was a little bit but normal for European hotels.

The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of options to suit different tastes. There were plenty of fresh fruits, along with milk and yogurt for a lighter and healthier start to the day. For those who prefer something more filling, the selection included bread, jams, pancakes, eggs, and bacon. Everything was well-prepared and regularly replenished. The juices were fresh and refreshing, which added a nice touch to the overall experience. Whether you want a light breakfast or a more complete meal, there are enough choices to satisfy everyone. Overall, a very enjoyable breakfast with good quality and variety. Definitely a highlight of the stay.
