We booked a 2-night stay at this hotel to visit Venice with our two boys. The front desk person was very helpful in giving information on how to get to Venice, and made recommendations in town for restaurants. She also spoke very good English. The hotel location is great, as there is a bus stop just around the corner. You can purchase a ticket for the bus at the store next door. The cost is 1.5 E per person, cash only. Once at Venice, you can purchase day passes and use a credit card to pay. You can get discounts for children once on the island, where as the store next door can only sell standard (full price) passes, and requires cash only. The hotel has a large balcony which didn't seem to get much use when we were there... but it was a nice place to hang out. The breakfast buffet in the morning runs for 3 hrs, and has a number of fresh pastry items, as well as other things you might expect like yogurt, cereal, etc. There was a coffee machine that made a variety of hot beverages as well. It was one of the better breakfast setups that we had during our stay in Italy. Bed and pillows were a bit firm, and the WiFi seemed a bit slow, but other than that, we had a great two night stay.

O hotel correspondeu as expectativas, pois já sabia que não era próximo as principais atrações turísticas. Tirando a localização, o hotel era limpo e conveniente.

Hotel Kappa, et plus généralement Mestre est la meilleure solution pour une famille de 5 personnes pour découvrir venise. La restauration sur mestre est moins honereurse que Venise, on n'a pas les odeurs des égouts de venise toute la nuit. Les hôtels et les restaurants sont plus aimables avec les français qu'à venise. Le seul hic c'est le titre de transport qui est assez chers (60 euros la semaine par per personne). ceci est compensé par le côut de nuitée assez cher sur Venise.

I stayed for two nights last week. They were very kind at the reception about my late check in and the room was clean. There was plenty of towels in the bathroom, however no toilet paper the first night (found a new roll in the room when I came back the next day). The AC worked the first night and in the morning but the next evening it wouldn’t turn on and unfortunately even though I told the reception, no one came to have a look at it and I was told to open the windows. Since the room was on the balcony level I couldn’t open the windows to get some air in as people on the balcony were able to see into the room (I realised this when I made eye contact with someone in the mirror the first morning when get ready - awkward). So unless you want people to have a full view of what you’re doing, you can’t open the windows. Quite unfortunate since it was around 30 degrees. Other than that, it’s a good budget friendly place, about 30-40 minutes away from Venice on the bus, close to cafes, restaurant and shops, in a nice area. Oh and the bed wasn’t exactly comfortable, could feel the springs dig into my back all night so I probably wouldn’t want to stay for more than 2-3 nights

This is a good choice if you want to sleep and eat the breakfast in the morning, the hotel has good communication with the Old Town and the train station. The hotel itself is quite old, not renovated for years, the upstairs room is dark with an almost covered window. The breakfasts are okay, good, sufficient, minimalistic. The hotel is small so it is hard to expect something more at this point. Service very nice, helpfull. The hotel has good free WiFi. Price per night very good.
