The room was amazing and much bigger than we expected. We could see the top of the Duomo as well as the gardens. The staff was all incredibly nice. Breakfast was so incredibly good with lots of choices.

From the moment we arrived, Alazne was right there, along with the other staff member, but Alazne was front and center providing what would make a 5-star hotel blush in comparison. She jumped at every opportunity to make sure we had the BEST experience possible. That continued throughout our visit, enough that we would consider just coming back to Italy to stay there under her care! She got us entry to a difficult to get museum, provided dinner choices and our room was immaculate and we felt like a king and queen. Bravo Alazne and the staff at the Orto de Medici hotel for a royal experience that will make Florence (Firenze) a highlight of our travels forever! Bravisimo!

Beautiful hotel. We felt very welcomed with a bottle of prosecco and drink in the library. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful. They had some excellent recommendations for restaurants and activities.

Other than the unavoidable street construction outside, this hotel was truly amazing. Loved my room, loved the amenities, and they took care of luggage while we dis some site seeing. Also had complimentary items for my room, and had a birthday gift waiting for me when I came back from our day. Wonderful place and staff!

Other than the unavoidable street construction outside, this hotel was truly amazing. Loved my room, loved the amenities, and they took care of luggage while we dis some site seeing. Super location if you fly into Florence airport as take the tram to its final destination piazza san marco. From there it’s a 3 minute walk to the hotel. Your 5 mins walk from the Acedemia and 10 mins from the Duomo. The best thing about the hotel though is the staff, always ready to be of help should you need it. If I had to be critical of anything it would be the very firm mattress, normally I like them firm but I had backaches every morning. Nothing that a paracetamol didn’t cure but worth noting nonetheless.
