We’ve just returned from an unforgettable stay. The two ladies running the hotel were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, helping us with everything from bus schedules to local recommendations. Getting There & Accessibility From Ischia Porto, we took the 175 bus, which took about 25 minutes and dropped us off right outside the property. There are quite a few steps leading up to the hotel—a great way to burn off carb-heavy meals, but worth keeping in mind for anyone with mobility concerns. Dining & Drinks The food at the on-site restaurant and bar was fantastic, and they make a brilliant Aperol Spritz. All expenses are settled at the end of the stay. In hindsight, we recommend requesting a price list beforehand to avoid surprises, as small extras like bottled water incur a charge. The included breakfast was varied and delicious, featuring eggs cooked to order and great coffee. Right next door, Onda Verde is another fantastic restaurant option. Rooms & Amenities Our room at the top featured a private balcony with sensational views. While basic, it had everything we needed—including great air conditioning and plenty of space to hang wet beach gear. A small fridge would have been a nice touch, though we knew in advance one wasn't provided. Pool & Beach The on-site thermal pool is compact, offers lovely views, and is surrounded by plenty of sunbeds. We would return! From the beach below to San Angelo, the hotel offers the most gorgeous view. Our room, which has a shared terrace, had a full ocean view. Enjoy a drink while looking at the view while sitting out on the deck. The room was spotless. The bathroom was rather small. There was no air conditioning or fan, and it was chilly in August. We decided to sleep with the doors wide open to the shared deck. Perhaps crazy, but it was incredibly hot! The breeze was wonderful. Breakfast was also excellent.

The trip from the hotel to Ischial's port takes about 20 minutes by bus. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. There is a hot tub and a pool in the hotel. There isn't always a line of people, so one can basically swim in peace and quiet. The pool and the sea are both visible from the rooms, and it has a lovely view of the shore and the beach. The apartment featured a balcony and was roomy. Although there isn't much to choose from, you can close the shutters during the day and sleep without any problems. Breakfast is served on the terrace, although there are some basic items like ham, cheese, bread, croissants, vegetables, and yogurt. The pizzeria is right in front of the hotel. For 10 minutes, you can walk from the hotel to the beach, the worse one is the walk back, which takes roughly 20 minutes up the hill. However, the view from the hotel is worth it. The beach offers complimentary use of chairs and umbrellas, however, this hotel provides this service on the other side of the beach, so it takes roughly 15 minutes to walk there. My daughter and I stayed at Villa Al Mare for 5 nights recently. Sisters and mothers made us feel very welcome. Our room was clean, spacious, bright, and had french doors leading to a balcony with the most beautiful sea view. The hotel is easily accessible via bus from Ischial Porto. I cant recall how long it took to walk to the beach. Because I only paid attention to the spectacular beauty all around me. It is on a cliff, so walking is always going to be either down or up! At one end of the beach, there is a little shortcut that involves stairs. I liked breakfast bread, cheese, fruit, coffee on the terrace and homemade jam. My daughter has severe food allergies and didn't eat at the hotel. The pool is great and there is a terrace around which has sun and shade, as well as many beach chairs. This is not a chain hotel, but a genuine italian family run hotel and is delightful.

Very tidy, reasonably priced, and in a lovely position. Although the hotel room doesn't have air conditioning, which may be an issue for some in the heat of Julyaug, we thought it was fine with the windows left open and the shutters closed. The view is unbeatable for the money, in general. The majority of the rooms and all the hotel's public terraces have a fantastic view. Each day, the room was quite comfortable and tidy, with regular housekeeping. The small lagoon-style thermal pool is beautiful, and even in July, it is warm and never crowded, making it extremely peaceful and tranquil. It is simple to reach either Mauroni Beach 5 minutes away or Ischial Ponte 20 minutes away from the hotel's bus stop, which is frequently used. There is cheese, bread, jamhoneynutella, and cheese toast if you like. It is helpful to have a little Italian to converse with the staff because they are efficient but not particularly chatty or happy, maybe it was due to my limited Italian.
