Sadly, the gala dinner that we had reserved quite early didn't live up to our expectations. Not sure if this was due to the waiter and maybe even the kitchen being caught by surprise. I was given the menu. When we stated that we were supposed to have the gala dinner, the waiter said that we had to check with the kitchen. After returning, he invited us to order one meal of our choice per course from the card he had provided earlier. Not sure if this is their standard procedure for gala dinner or a backup plan. It is beautiful and modern and impression the meal is not much to say. At the checkout, we inquired about the conversation with the owner and receptionist. We clearly stated that we werent treated as a guest at all. The offering is slightly restricted. Sauna, steam tub, and other facilities are relatively small. That is probably why there is a time limit of oh per guest to use the premises. The pool with hot water is lovely. The service, I am afraid that they were fully sluggish here. Much like many other places in the area. The spa is in the basement of the outhouse. It is lovely, contemporary, and clean. We asked not to be on the lawn or use the pool, but were turned down when we attempted to order drinks. We clearly explained to the owner that we felt not like a guest.

On our way to Tuscany, we stayed overnight at the hotel villa Borghi. We stayed in room 207, an old building room. The room had a lovely view of the lake, garden, and pool. The room was clean, and the bed was very big and comfortable. The shower was also clean and easy to use. We had a late-night meal at the pizza restaurant, and it was fine. We ate both pizza and wine. Breakfast was simple but suitable for an overnight stay. Additionally, the staff was generally very friendly. For an overnight stay, we had a wonderful stay at the hotel villa Borghi. We would definitely recommend this hotel to couples on their way to Tuscany who want to have a short break for a relatively inexpensive 90 including breakfast before traveling further.

Villa Borghi is a cozy hotel in a relatively little village. The rooms were large and clean, with windows facing the nearby lake. I wish I could have been here during the warmer season, because November was quite a rainy and cold. Large gardens would be great to enjoy at warmer times of year. Service in the restaurant and bar was excellent and very friendly. Maybe it was because I was the only customer in both.

Excellent exterior, normally welcoming visitors, but a dismal room with a beautiful view, and an extremely limited breakfast. There were only scrambled eggs, which were unavailable to be made to order and very few alternatives. In contrast to a true and suitable big bed, the large bed is conventionally lowered by shoving two singles together, leaving a gap between the sides. A rickety shower with a difficult-to-close sliding glass door, and other insignificant items in the bathroom. Not particularly valuable for the 100 night price. I had hoped for much better.

The hotel and its gardens are really beautiful and peaceful. The old building is really a replica of an old Italian villa in the area. If you're going to this region, I highly recommend sleeping there. However, I must point out that you shouldn't expect much from the rooms because they have a limited selection of amenities and services. One thing to highlight is the complimentary access to the spa during your overnight stay. Enjoy.
