The night before an early flight, we stayed at Il Portoncino, and we couldnt have chosen a better place to stay. The apartment was lovely, very spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. The only thing to note is that it is on the top of the building, so there are many stairs, but this wasnt a problem for us. In fact, the rooftop terrace was a special highlight. Its huge, overlooks Vesuvio, and feels very peaceful despite the rush of naples! Our trains were delayed, so we arrived later than anticipated, but we received a very warm greeting from anna and her partner, who treated us like family. They were extremely helpful, making sure we had a taxi booked for the morning and even ordering pizza for us so we could unwind on the terrace. Anna also provided toast, yoghurt, tea, milk, and juice in the wellequipped kitchen area so we could have breakfast before we departed at 8:15! We wish we could have stayed longer and explored the Capidomente area a little more, but we had a wonderful night and will most certainly be back! Thank you, Anna!.

The room is located at the top of the steep stairs. If this is not your thing, you can't find a better place to stay. We booked this as our flight from Naples would start in the morning and it was perfect. Thank you Anna for attention to detail, help with parking, supper, and my unexpected emergency. You felt like an angel in disguise.

Wonderful accommodations with Anna's lovely care and dedication to making sure you're satisfied and everything's fine. A nice rooftop terrace is ideal for evening drinks or a delicious breakfast in the sunshine. The loud bell from the church across the street every morning chimes at morning! In addition, a taxi into town costs roughly 15 euros, which can become too expensive over the course of a few days.

I highly recommend Il Portoncino, especially since Anna was so lovely and accommodating. Just the night before my flight home, I needed to find lodging in Paris. There are buses to the city center of Paris. Anna and I stayed in Anna's charming and impeccable room, and like the photos on the website, my room had a large double bed and seating area and extended into the lovely terrace. Breakfast was served in a kitchen area shared with the other room. The capodimonte museum and gardens are a great location to unwind after a day, and the airport is only a fifteen-minute drive away. Anna recommended a taxi company for 15 euros, and it was reasonable to find a hotel in Paris.

We booked this because we had an early flight out of naples. We had driven all day from public and were amazed at how hard this was to find. We were not expecting a narrow busy street with multilevel buildings on each side. After calling anna the owner, we had another try and easily found the garage we would park in. Anna came to find us and showed us the way. The downside, it was up four flights of steep stairs. This was offset by what we found at the top. The most delightful spacious room. I had everything, clean, and quite comfortable. But the icing on the cake was a big terrace overlooking vesuvius. It was a monday and restaurants were scarce. We were quite tired so we chose a bottle of wine from the small supermarket 5 steps across the street and freshly made pizzas from just down the street. So typical Italian family run, with an elderly mother holding court. She told my husband the family history while he waited. The pizzas were excellent and around 4 euros! Breakfast was left in the small communal kitchen. Pastries, coffee, and other items. We were just sad that we could not stay any longer. Thank you anna!.
