I came across this website. There are 1 star Michelin restaurants, but these dates were unfortunately or fortunately they were closed. We expected to have a wonderful evening with our wonderful local cousin. But the meals were so primitive and poor. Less about wine. Service is good. There is also a good atmosphere. They should improve their menu much more.

We only stayed one night at the Yolanda Mescal and had lunch, dinner, and breakfast there. We thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd highly suggest trying pasta with zucchini and shrimps, tartar pork, mashed potatoes, and caramelized onion. Home-made ice cream with fragile was excellent. It seemed like we were the only guests at this hotel, so breakfast was only for us. The room is simple, but the bed is very comfortable. Affix is a small and lovely village, behind the restaurant there is a small playground behind the parking lot, the child thoroughly enjoyed it.

It's not too far from the airport when we stayed here in May 2012. It's not hard to find your way there because we rented a car. The closest town is presumably Bardolino, which is a mere 20-minute drive away. We arrived around 2 am, and when we did arrive, there was no one at the front desk, and it was actually closed. So ensure that you notify them when you book here if you do. That was fantastic because we had a room on the top floor. But, because there is no elevator, I'm glad I didn't bring any. The rooms were simple yet tidy. You get a small room with a comfy bed, and a spotless bathroom. The hairdryer was a little slow and not hot enough. Breakfast was excellent! The best part is that they will make fresh coffee for you! Pastries, bread, cheese, and ham. Really a very good brunch. We also had dinner there. The only issue we find is that we don't speak Italian. The host and the receptionist for the I don't speak much English and had a hard time explaining things, especially the no English menu, of course. So learn some Italian before you go in that region or bring a good dictionary.

I spent 3 nights here in August. Although it was challenging to find a hotel closer to Bardolino, we were able to get here fairly by using the bus from Verone Puerto Nuevo, which was convenient for taking affix. Affix is a charming town, but if you have a car, you will get around better. Since there was a nice day during our stay, there was no bus service, and a taxi to Bardolino cost 20 euros every time. We had a hard time getting through the buses. Finally, we took a 10-mile round trip to Bardolino that would have taken approx 1h 20 each way. The stroll was beautiful because it ran through vineyards and other structures, but it took most of the morning! Due to new facilities, connections, and other obstacles, we had to confront caution several times. The hotel was tidy, and the accommodations were of reasonable sizes. The reception only offered wifi. One night, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant. A pleasant hotel with tidy accommodations. Unless you have a car, it is rather remote.
