The Maeco B and B is right at the centre of Ortigia and convenient for easy walking to restaurants, shops and all the beautiful sites that the island has to offer. We were welcomed by Alisia who was very helpful and gave us a guide to all the places to see. The next day wee met Martina the owner who was also very welcoming. The Maeco is very tastefully furnished blending traditional fitting's blended with modern things like plexiglass chairs. Our room was very spacious with a well appointed bathroom. Breakfast is a mix of pastries, cold meats cheese, bread fruit, yoghurt etc and eggs can be cooked to order. The staff are very friendly and obliging. I would thoroughly recommend the Maeco for its first class facilities and hospitality.

Nervig war allein die Vielzahl von Anfragen zu unserer Ankunftszeit (innerhalb des Check-in- Zeitraumes). Ansonsten war die B&B-Crew angenehm freundlich und zugewandt, das Zimmer groß und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Badezimmer ebenso großzügig und komfortabel. Das Frühstück war das beste während unseres Sizilien-Aufenthaltes. - Der empfohlene Parkservice war mit 25€/ Nacht recht teuer und, hätte, zumindest in unserem Fall, deutlich mehr Kundenorientierung zu beidseitigem Vorteil ermöglicht.

Excellent location in Ortigia, inside a palazzo, with a peekabo view of the Med. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, soft, warm linens, amply sized bathroom with rain shower and excellent water pressure. Our room faced a quiet alleyway, so despite being at the center of everything on a weekend, our room was blissfully quiet. Breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries and juices. Parking is very difficult, but Martina and staff helped us arrange. A note that Ortigia itself is not a very accessible destination, we parked as close as was possible and still carried our bags across a town square and down a couple streets. There is no elevator, and entrance to the palazzo requires lifting bags over a door lip.

Have stayed in many B&Bs in Italy and elsewhere and Maeco is one the very best. Martina extends a warm welcome, has excellent taste and runs a superb operation. The location couldn’t be better and the B&B’s modern amenities are integrated beautifully into the impressive historic building.

I had a wonderful stay at Maecò Ortigia B&B. My room was really nice, confotrable and quiet. The breakfast was terrific. Also the two women who manned the front desk were very helpful. They gave me terrrific restaurant recommendations. They also set up a boat ride around the island and a taxi to the bus to the airport in Catania. The B&B is in a great location. It is on one of the main streets with lots of restaurants and stores. It is also very close to the Duomo and the Piazza Archimede.

Excellent accueil. Gentillesse de la maîtresse de maison et des employés. Belle Chambre très confortable, spacieuse et très propre décorée avec goût . Petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits de qualité ( mention spéciale pour la confiture de mandarine élaborée par la maman de notre hôtesse : à goûter impérativement ! ). Très bien placé . Nous recommandons vivement !!
