Excellent spacious apartments,very clean comfortable beds. Very close to supermarket and 5 min drive from Cortona . Would definitely stay again, excellent value .

It was a lovely property, well situated near Cortona and Camucia. The Conad, grocery store is abour 2km away and there is a large market day in Camucia with some good food options,, although it's mostly clothing being sold. Our only complaint really was the lack of a shower curtain in the bath, making it difficult to property wash without soaking the floor. One was once there, but all that remained were the mounting holes on the wall. Otherwise, it was a lovely quiet property.

The receptionists were all very helpful and friendly. I did not find the town very welcoming to foreigners. We have three kids and it seemed frowned upon at the restaurants we went to. We’ve been all over Italy and it’s the first time we experienced this with our kids. Cortona needs to be a touch more accommodating to our-of-towners. Monastero San Silvestro is a place I would return to in a heartbeat. It’s charming and quiet and peaceful.

What a beautiful hidden treasure this turned out to be. Beautiful rooms and the grounds are immaculate. With Cortona just minutes away by car it was the perfect choice. If your looking for Villa Laura from Under a Tuscan Sun it’s only 500 meters away. Book this as a couple or as a family you won’t be disappointed. Can’t wait to go back with the family.

Amata is the manager. She speaks very good English. She is professional, yet very welcoming and friendly. Amata made sure we were comfortable and had everything to make our stay perfect. My husband and I spent two weeks in one of the lovely apartments. He came for work and I came to keep him company. The apartment, a 2 bedroom 1 bath, was roomy and comfortable. The AC and the heat both worked well. All of the apartments have their own outdoor area for alfresco dining. The grounds are grassy and inviting with bbqs, and the pool area is gated with our own designated loungers. The location was perfect for us! My husband had a car for his work nearby. There is ample onsite parking. A grocery store is less than a mile away. It’s a short drive into Cortona. We drove to Cortona most evenings to walk around, shop, etc. We loved Cortona, and our stay at Monestero San Silvestro. We would definitely stay again! We even made some new friends!!

We chose this agroturismo hotel off the very touristy path to enjoy a bit of tranquility and found our expectations more than met! The premises are wonderfully kept and your eyes can rest and still will wander and detect yet another interesting detail. The warm salt water pool was much appreciated especially by our little daughter who lost all her fear and became a brave diver. We enjoyed a large family Appartement with 2 bedrooms and living room kitchen. There are plenty of interesting locations close by both in Tuscany and Umbria to allow for very comfortable day trips even with a young child. Our stay was unfortunately much too short and we would certainly like to come back to the area and monastero San Silvestro!

We have just come back from 9 days here and had a wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable time. The accommodation is beautifully rustic but with essential mod cons like air conditioning - much needed in the August heat! Donato was wonderfully helpful when we needed him, but left us to our own devices unless we needed him - it was a perfect balance for us. The kitchen area was compact, but had most things we needed - most importantly a big fridge and freezer to keep drinks and ice cream in! We cooked a few times and ate out in the lovely gardens, but also went out for dinner quite a bit as everything was so accessible (by car). The swimming pool was lovely, well maintained but using minimal chemicals which was lovely. We would definitely recommend this if you like a bit of authentic Italy, a beautiful building in a great location with a lots of relaxing and exploring opportunites.

Um sonho!!! O hotel fica há uns 3 KM de cortona, e é necessário carro. O hotel oferece estacionamento. Além disso, é LINDO! É uma casa antiga mas bem conservada, com um gramado adorável e muitas flores para todo lado. O quarto é imenso! com cozinha, um excelente banheiro, lareira e um quarto muito silencioso e aconchegante. Ficamos apenas uma noite lá, mas ficaríamos mais sem dúvida alguma. Talvez não tenha o requinte de um cinco estrelas, mas a experiência foi fantástica. Me senti morando numa cidadezinha do interior da itália por uma noite.

Ci siamo fermati una sola notte. Ci hanno accolto con simpatia e cordialità. In un contesto di relax senza troppe pretese, siamo stati bene. Se torniamo a Cortona sappiamo dove dormire.
