Very nice place. Good king size bed and wonderful sheets. Breakfast was really fresh too, with delicious pastries. Awesome view in the valley, however we had an upgraded suite. AC was very welcome, it was 36C outside. I would recommend this one to all my friends. Also location was great, very central and a lot of restaurants close by.

When I got to the hotel, the housekeeper saw me and phoned the main lady right away to help me. The proprietor was extremely helpful and had a great command of English. The hotel is situated close to the castle and within an easy stroll of the main shops and restaurants in the historic center. Parking is not recommended because there are numerous stairs around, but it is within the walls. The hotel is in a charming, ancient structure with some charm and character. The owner was pleasant, offered me winter food after dinner, and gave me some useful advice on nearby attractions. This was a great choice because I wanted some quiet and read and simply enjoy the area. Wireless is good. The property is close to the castle and just a short walk to the main shops and restaurants in the historic center. Roller bags are not advised because there are many stairs nearby the hotel.

When looking for a restaurant in Montalcino, we stumbled upon this charming location. A warm hostess welcomed us in, set up the dining room for us because it was chilly outside, and allowed us to enjoy the cozy living room area while we waited. She and her husband created a delicious traditional meal suitable for our family of four, including two children. Our hostess gave us helpful advice for our visit to the area, some history, and lots of gracious hospitality. We felt as though we had come across a friendly couple's home, which then proceeded to give us a place to stay and a delicious dinner! We didn't stay in the i, but we did see one of the rooms and can confirm the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the quality of the food, and the attention of the owners. We would stay here again when we visited the region.

We are very satisfied and would never hesitate to return to this hotel again. This place is completely different and authentic, it has a true Tuscan experience. We were made to feel very welcome and given a free upgrade to a lovely suite. Unfortunately, we only had one night but when we return to Montalcino we will definitely stay here again.

I recently spent a few nights in this wonderful unique hotel for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. The owner, era, is charming and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. She recommended and even reserved a great local restaurant for us and was a source of information on local sights, vineyards, and best photographic viewpoints. The hotel is stylish and beautifully decorated and highly recommended by someone who has spent a lot of time in hotels over the years!.

I was so warm and comfortable in this place, this hotel also managed to provide some information and treats us like homemade cakes for breakfast.
