Very pleasant experience! We received a good offer for a clean and comfortable double room. 10 minute's walk from piazza barter or subway station, 15 minute's from center. Francesca, the landlady, is really kind and helpful, and the setting is very cool. Good price-quality ratio.

The location is close to the public transportation and restaurants. However, the room is small and they put a chair there that serves no purpose. Not enough space to open 2 suitcases. We stayed in the penelope 1 room which had a huge step up right at the foot of the bed. The room looks inside the complex, but it doesn't have a window. The AC is so loud, it's like a jet is crashing.

I do not recommend this location. The bed at this location is comfortable and the lady who rented the apartment Francesca was nice. Another advantage is the location. The breakfast was a croissant and a coffee at a nearby cafe Angelo it was good but not enough for breakfast. The bad things happened the first day, the lady who rented the apartment said that we will have our towels changed once after the second day. Unfortunately, this was false because the towels weren't changed at all! Another thing was the water. There was no hot water in the bathroom and it was just mildly hot. It means that when I returned from exploring after 12 and was feeling tired and cold and wanted a warm shower, the water was cold! It was a disaster! Additionally, the heating wasn't working and there was no air conditioning at night, so on a third day I got cold! We had only 1,5 rolls of toilet paper for 5 days! After my intervention, the wifi connection started working. On the application page, it was stated that you can use the kitchen for free. We were told we have to pay eur extra per day. We chose not to use it. The room was very noisy, everyone can be heard in. The kitchen was next to our place, so if someone was cooking, you could smell it! What can I say? Rome is gorgeous, but the accommodations were nightmares.

In a famous movie, where he plays the owner of the largest hotel in Las Vegas, I just feel at ease saying that I'm an innkeeper al Pacino. When I visit Penelope and meet its owner, Francesca, I can't help but think of that phrase. A very little hotel can be a prestigious one if you look for the small things such as cleanliness and friendliness.
