We would suggest and return to this hotel. Just got back from a lovely six-night stay at Porta delle Marine in Montepulciano. The owners are excellent at communicating via whatsapp, but they only speak very little English. It is in the center of town, a short distance from all the local bars, stores, and eateries. The apartment number 6 has lovely wooden beams on the ceiling and is decorated in a traditional rustic manner. I adore the cute shutter windows and doors, and when you stay here, you will really feel like a local. The bathroom is more contemporary, but rustic stone tiles give it a traditional ambiance. The only drawback is that the plugs are all different, and we only had one just outside the bathroom that fitted our UK adapter. Also, having only one mirror in the bathroombedroom between two people meant that getting ready took twice as long as one had to wait for the other to finish before they could start. Could also be more coffee pots available. However, the owers did have little biscuits and bought us an easter cake, which was a nice touch.
