Nice B&B only 5-10 min from centro storico. Very close to Metro (Duomo) and there You get access to all of Napoli. We had a great bed, bathroom is large and a small kitchen area. AC is working. The room was clean and it was cleaned every day. The owner was a real Mister, fast check-in and out. This is the old part of Napoli but it was quiet at night and we felt very secure. Lots of good restaurants and supermercado just around the cornetto. We all liked this B&B. Breakfast is coffee and cornetto

This hotel gives exellent service, even though none of us speaks italian we got help to solve a serious situation with help from the hosts family. The room was clean and had good beds. The location fitted us perfectly although our first impression of this hotel was not the best. We strongly recommend this hotel if you are up to living in a small hotel with exellent service.

La struttura è situata in posizione strategica per quasi tutti i punti di interesse della città, che sono raggiungibili a piedi. La stanza era molto semplice ma pulitissima e dotata di tutti i comfort. Il proprietario è gentile e disponibile, è un vero piacere scambiare quattro chiacchiere con lui. La colazione rimane la parte migliore del soggiorno: sfogliatelle calde ogni mattina! Assolutamente consigliata, ci ritornerò!

Great location in the heart of the University district and the old town. Much better than being near Piazza Garibaldi or Corso Umberto. Very helpful staff, and very good value. Quiet, comfortable. Breakfast not amazing, but what do you expect for this price?

Le camere sono belle confortevoli e molto pulite, il proprietario è stato sempre presente e disponibile. Torneremo a Napoli e sicuramente torneremo al Portanova.

Great option for independent travelers in Naples. I was traveling alone but had visited the city before, so this was a perfect setup for me. The proprietors speak very little English, but were absolutely friendly and kind, and we were able to get me checked in with no problem (even managed some restaurant recommendations nearby!). Breakfast is simple and self-service (not really a "buffet"... what we'd call in America a "continental breakfast"), but always included delightful Neopolitan pastries. Otherwise the small room I had was clean, comfortable, and included a desk and air conditioning.

This hotel is a 5 minute walk from the main streets of the old town or the more modernism shopping streets. Easy 10 minute walk to central station. Hotel staff speak Italian not English, but they are friendly and will do their best to understand. The hotel is clean, convenient and simply nice to be in!

Hotel bien ubicado (2 cuadras) de la Avenida Corso Umberto I y 15 minutos andando para llegar a Spaccanapoli y Via dei Tribunali, en cuanto empiece a trabajar la estación Duomo de metro estará más céntrico para poder llegar desde la Estación Garibaldi. El servicio de desayuno y limpieza del cuarto bien, habitación grande y amplia en una zona de barrios tranquila. El personal siempre fue cordial y dispuesto a ayudar al inquilino.El único inconveniente es que para poder hablar con el personal hay que irlo a buscar ya que no existe una recepción como tal.

I stayed six nights at the Portanova B&B and absolutely loved it. The room we stayed in (standard double room) was large, comfortable and very clean. The staff was also nice and helpful (they even gave us complementary umbrellas when it was raining outside) and the hotel is located in the center of the old town which means that most of the cultural hot spots that one has to visit in Naples are close by (walking range). As far as Naples is concerned, I don't know why this town has such a bad rep. It maybe a little intimidating for some tourists at first, but we explored every back alley that we found in the city, including the dreaded Spanish Quarters, with DSLRs around our necks and never had any problems. Also, all of the locals that we met were very helpful and friendly, often offering their help even if we didn't asked them. All in all, this was a great vacation for us.
