My stay at Residence La Republika was not very pleasant, so I would like to start this review by saying that I never intended to leave a negative review on this property. I am a part of the hospitality industry myself, so I am aware of how negative bad reviews can be for companies. I decided this comment was necessary a few days after I got home. As I've already stated, the experience of my and my partner was not great, but there were a few good things about this property. The wifi was fast, and the location was great! Right in Piazza Republic, but despite this, the room was very noisy at night, with all the activity from restaurants, etc. right below. The mattress wasn't great, and the room felt a little creepy in general. The bathroom had fluorescent lighting and outdated furnishings that gave off a very unpleasant vibe. But this is where things go wrong. The shower. It's actually quite funny looking back. At the time, I explained to my partner that it looked like the type of shower at school camp that you had to wear sandals in. Alas, we had to shower at least five times during our stay without flip flops. Big mistake. After a few days, we both realized we had athlete's foot. Not much fun. This lodging is not my suggestion.

Residence La republic is a fantastic location to use as a base for your Florentine trip. It is in the center, about 10 minutes from Santa Novella station and 5 minutes from the Domo and Piazza della Signora. Shops all around, the Mercato Central is really great and 10 minutes walk away. The studio apartment we had was on the top floor and had no windows but 2 skylights. Kitchen included. Good sized shower room. Washing machine provided is really useful. Check-in is at the Hotel de Land on Via Delle Aache, so no issue. We liked this place and will return. It has everything you need clean, a good elevator, good security, and lots of amenities.

This hotel is in a central location that is easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was fine. The location is close to a Metro station.

I would remain here. This hotel is at De Land, which is easy to find, which has previously been notified to us via email and gave directions. We were then led to the apartments by a staff member to demonstrate how everything works, which was an easy check-in procedure. We reserved one night to make supper in the large apartment, which included a kitchenette, hob, sink, fridge, and any potspansplates you might require. There was a kettle to make beverages and mugs, but no milk or sugar, we only spent two nights, having to eat just a full carton of milk and a full bag of sugar, most of which went to waste. It would be nice if some basic items, like sugar sachets, salt, pepper, etc., were provided to prevent anyone using the kitchen from throwing the rest away. The beds were alone, not the commies, but certainly not the worst. Checkout was also simple, we called the de land hotel from the apartment and were instructed to leave the key on the table. The wifi speed was excellent, you could stay connected to multiple devices and watch Netflix, etc. It is unlikely that I ever go to Floret again..

I would strongly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic. You're in the heart of Florence, open the door! Everything is right outside your door. Our apartment overlooked the square. We had a spacious studio apartment and a very comfortable bed. The setting felt really secure. We checked in without trouble at the hotel de la Land and were followed to our apartment by a friendly man who could assist with our luggage in less than a minute. Although there is no receptionist in the apartment, there is a direct phone in the apartment to the hotel de la terre receptionist and our inquiries were promptly answered. At checkout, we were instructed to leave a key on the kitchen table.
