Had a wonderful stay at the Zelzar Residence. The view is immaculate from the room overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and Coastline! The room was clean and secure. The staff provided excellent check-in procedures. Parking can be challenging with the narrow roads and limited access. Strongly encourage to contact the staff for most up-to-date details. Great view from the local café that provides the breakfast. Just a short walk up the road. Highly recommend this stay!!

Residence zelzar is perfect if you want to experience amalfi coast with less tourists. The town is very cute with lots of ceramic shops and excellent food. The room was well equipped and clean and the management communication was excellent. We had a wonderful time here. Very high up on the hill but easy to drive down with a car or catch the bus. Don’t underestimate the cafe bar royal where we had a free coffee and croissant every morning! Excellent pastries and very friendly.

I would highly recommend Hotel Zelzar for the budget traveler looking to unplug with beautiful views of the Amalfi. Have WhatsApp downloaded so you can communicate with the property manager, who is extremely helpful and nice. The hotel is located in Benicasa, a slightly remote village accessible only by private car, taxi, or regular bus (the 1 line or the 69, the former which runs every hour at 815; 915, etc and will take you all the way to Salerno centro). There is no grocery store nearby and only the Bar Royal, staffed by friendly bar tenders and a host of regulars outside. The room itself is very nice with a spectacular view. The hardest part was transportation to and from Benincasa without a private car. It is ~20 minute bus ride to Vietre Sul Mar, where you can take another bus (the 63) to the Vietre Marina where you can then take ferries to other parts of the Amalfi coast. I still wouldn’t recommend a car; the village is remote and the road is a single lane shared by traffic in two directions. However, once you’re in your clean, air conditioned room, it’s so nice to unplug and take in the country side and ocean views. There is a wonderful restaraunt called La Limonetta that has some of the best food we tasted that is 1km away within walking distance. Again, couldn’t recommend the hotel more for the budget traveler looking to unplug from the craziness of the Amalfi Coast towns.

Stayed at residence Zelzar for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The staff were great at answering our questions quickly, and helped us with a couple of issues we had (on our end, not at their fault). The views were fantastic, and we enjoyed going to bar royal for breakfast.

We stayed here on a road trip through Italy, It was an amazing stay we had great communication with the host that told us in detail where we could park (a safe car park). The room itself was large and well supplied with towels and soap etc , clean and comfortable! We had an incredible view from the balcony and the pool area is very well kept and clean. It’s in the perfect location to go and see the Amalfi coast, it’s out of the busy areas and very peaceful. There is a great restaurant close by where you can eat under lemon trees too! I wish we stayed longer!

Erg leuke studio, ruim en schoon. Buiten de drukke plaatsen, maar niet te ver ervandaan en goed bereikbaar. Parkeren niet voor de deur, maar aan de smalle weg verderop.

Io e il mio compagno abbiamo soggiornato lì solo per una notte per staccare la spina dalla routine della città e non potevamo fare scelta migliore! L'appartamento super pulito e dotato di tutti i comfort, il signor Andrea molto gentile e disponibile. Torneremo sicuramente magari per qualche giorno in più

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Unterkunft, schöner kleiner Pool mit toller Aussicht. Wenn es noch die Möglichkeit mit Frühstück geben würde wär alles perfekt. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.

meraviglioso per vacanza, ero per lavoro, quindi sfruttato molto meno...suggerirei solo di rivedere le serrature in quanto bisogna fare un mini corso di apertura e chiusura porte, lascia un po' di senso di ansia dover, al rientro dal ristorante la sera, sperare di imbroccare l'apertura giusta..vista l'eccellenza del posto ,suggerirei anche di lasciare come omaggio due bottigliette d'acqua naturale e del caffe' da fare nella moka, piccolo gesto ampiamente giustificato dai 100 euro di costo, peraltro giusti visto l'appartamento, la piscina, la vista.

Vi havde fire fantastiske dage på stedet. Vi boede i den gule lejlighed med lille køkken, soveværelse og stor terrasse. Den lille by var meget hyggelig, mere lokalt bliver det ikke. Poolen var lækker og udsigten er fuldstændig betagende og smuk. Vi var lidt forvirret over hvordan vi skulle kontakte dem ved ankomst, da der ikke er en reception, så evt ring i forvejen. Andrea der har stedet er meget hjælpsom og virkelig sød. Vi vil anbefale stedet og kommer gerne selv tilbage en dag.

Nice appartement on the hill of Vietri sul mar. Cosy, comfortabel and clean with a smal nice swimming pool. A good condition is preferabel because a lot of stairs to attain the pool. Good spot to visit the Amalfi coast, close to Salerno.

The host for the this property, Andrea couldn't have been any better. He was so helpful and made sure outstay was enjoyable as possible. On arrival he showed us round the apartment and gave us information on how to get to near by towns. He brought us breakfast every morning and was on hand to answer any questions we had, even speaking by WhatsApp when we needed him. The apartment was super clean and in good condition, there was a balcony with outdoor seating which was lovely to sit and have breakfast on (unfortunately for us this only happened once due to bad weather). The apartment in only a 20 minute walk down the hill to Vieri Sul Mare, however the second half of this walk is walking on A roads with no pavement, which was a little bit sketchy at times. There was also buses down, but you had to go to find a shop which would sell bus tickets before getting on. There was buses to Solerna and Amalfi, these got crowded and usually had over an hour of waiting for one to turn up. Overall I could not fault this apartment or the service which Andrea provided and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a quiet area.
