Where to start… Decameron let alone Jamaica was AMAZING. I have visited many countries and resorts and this one right here took a piece of my heart!! The staff omg the staff was WONDERFUL!! I have never met nicer kinder people. I was welcomed and greeted with smiles and kindness from the second I walked in, every single day till the second I walked out. Beautiful people, beautiful culture. Two staff members in particular, shout out to our mixologist Davion who made every single night memorable and Steve our driver who safely drove us to our excursions. I truly don’t know why this place would have negative reviews. The food was so good. I am so glad this resort didn’t try and attempt to make American food. The ethnic food was amazing I was so happy!! Thank you Decameron for making me feel like home!!

The check in was amazingly smooth and the check out was even faster. Every morning they had interactive activities like quizzes, aqua aerobics etc and encouraged everyone to socialise in multiple ways. Music played throughout the day and the vibe was always laid back and relaxed. The entertainment team worked hard to make sure the entertainment wasn’t monotonous. They had fun and so did I. You have to come with an open mind as the hotel is best suited for those who want to enjoy themselves and be low key. The room was well equipped, but in need of renovation, as the wardrobe was outdated as were the lamps and the phone (which didn’t work) The room needed a good paint as many of the walls, especially in the bathroom, needed repainting as they were cracked led and peeling. Which when you think about how hard the staff work for the company, the lack of renovation brings down the brand. WiFi was at times hit and miss, but it worked long enough for me to get my work done. The trick is making sure to find the strongest spots within the room and rotate. The food was limited, but you can tell the staff tried their best to accommodate as many tastes as possible, whilst avoiding waste. The virgin pinacolada slushie was amazing! You need to be one of the first to get into the restaurant, but with that comes crowds, which I for one intensely dislike. The evening entertainment is varied each night, as there is live singing, a magic show.
