I can't recommend this place to stay. It is a family owned and run place that provides excellent service and hospitality. The location is strategically situated in the middle of the snow, with direct access to Sakura ski lift and Ski Fields.

A great family-run hotel with a fantastic location, roomy accommodation, and a fantastic breakfast. After a long day in the snow, starting on the premises was ideal. Highly recommended if you are staying in Yokoko Open, plus free wifi is also available.

I've stayed at several different places around the world but this one is the best. It's not because it's new but because the service was great, I was completely treated like a king every time I was there. I was able to ski to the hotel since it was in the heart of Yoko. They also offer special rates for all the ski slopes, so I will be back very soon.

I took my two kids skiing for the first time. The Sun hotel was run by a very friendly family and the whole experience was very pleasant. My kids and I slept in a typical japanese style room with tatami mat floors and futon beds for a complete authentic experience. At the end of a great day of skiing you can hit the hot springs in the basement to soothe the muscles. We took the breakfast option which is simple but good for starting the day. You can almost ski in and out of the hotel, it's only about 20 meter walk down the hill to the nearest chairlift. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, I will definitely be back. The rooms are nicely decorated in the Japanese style with a secure environment and a nice view. We had enough breakfast, either western or Japanese, to fill our bodies for most of the day. Ski storage is downstairs and is functional. Owners are happy to provide us with a lift to the supermarket or train station. One street from home ski runs.
