This was a very nice hotel, one of the nicest non-luxury hotels I've stayed in. The room was large and had an incredible view of Osaka from it's many huge windows. The beds were comfortable and there was extra seating, plus plenty of space for suitcases, many outlets for charging, and a table. The bathroom had a huge shower with floor to ceiling windows and a large tub. There was only one sink and toilet. The staff all spoke essentially perfect English and were extremely helpful and friendly with everything. The onsen on the roof is incredible with open-air baths and, as expected, an incredible view from the 31st floor. The onsen allows tattoos. The hotel guests were primarily all foreign travelers, many of whom don't know proper onsen etiquette, but when no one is following some of the rules, it's less impactful than if everyone is except for one person. That said, the onsen seems designed with that fact in mind - for example, the floors outside of the actual onsen room are unlikely to suffer water damage, so if people are dripping wet when they come out, it's not a big deal. The coin laundry leaves a little to be desired - it was full almost every time I wanted to use it, and doesn't fully dry your clothes in a single cycle unless you wash a very small load. The staff was responsive to problems though - for example, if people leave their clothes in the machines after the machines are done, the staff will collect the clothes and take them to the front desk.
