The hotel in the raise area seemed rather old, but I assume the prices were reasonable given the location. It is right in front of the raise ski area. In actuality, it served as a ski hotel during the winter. The room's window saw the summit of raise mountain. It was quite spacious when I reserved the Japanese-style room, compared to other Japanese hotels. Dinner and breakfast were served, both of which were served in traditional Japanese style, unless separately ordered, with delightful, compact menus. There may not be any other establishments in the area that you could eat at outside the hotel. Like other Japanese restaurants, it offered a public bathroom, but it didn't appear to be an inversion. I was there at the center of summer, but it wasn't too hot because it was in the Upper Mountain region. The front desk manager was very kind and helpful in gaining information about the area, but he could speak better English. The hotel will transport you three minutes to the raise national park parking lot, allowing you to incredibly enjoy the daisenjis lantern lighting festival in August. It was a great experience for us. But you might not walk from the hotel to the raise national park parking lot after 1800 because there are no street lights. Take note that the lantern lighting festival began in 1930.
