This used to be the most elegant hotel in Tokyo 38 years ago when I started staying here. The garden (previously owned by Prince Tsuneyoshi Takeda and redesigned by Teiji Kusuoka) was fantastic and was one of the main draws. It is still a good experience, unfortunately they replaced part of the garden with the Prince Sakura tower in the late 90s and haven't really fixed the garden, even now. The rooms are well appointed, if not modernized. The room air conditioning works well, but maybe not as cold as I'd like. The breakfast buffet is good, but the breads are unimpressive. The French restaurant (Le Trianon) is quite good. The service everywhere is excellent. I prefer this hotel over the adjacent Shin Takanawa which is a larger convention hotel. I'll probably continue to stay here as it is very close to the Shinagawa Station with easy access to everywhere.

The hotel was very gorgeous. There is a convenience store inside the hotel which made it very nice when you need to get snacks when you get hungry. There is also a buffet which has both western and Japanese food options. The room I got is a little small but that is expected with Japanese hotels. It's a bit of a walk to the nearest train station but if you don't mind that, I recommend this staying at this hotel

An amazing stay! The location was perfect — the train station was within walking distance, which made getting around so easy. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly nice and welcoming, and the hotel itself was spotless. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back!

It was great room for just myself. Clean and nice living space, nice staff at the reception. Two disappointing points where TV doesn’t turn on and no hair cap in the bathroom. I’m sure staff will come to help, but it was late night I notice those. I slept inside the quiet room.

We had a wonderful stay! The station is just a short walk away, which made getting around Tokyo so easy. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff was very kind. We had a great experience and would definitely stay here again. I highly recommend this hotel!

The garden in the back was beautiful. The rooms were spacious. Great location to Shinagawa Train Station. They even had a 7 Eleven in the lobby area which was great. Tip - if you book the Grand Prince or Grand Prince Shin Takanawa, you can walk to Grand Prince Shinagawa and take the shuttle instead of lugging or taxing from Shinagawa train station.

Like the fact that there’s a shuttle to 4 related hotels all close to Shinagawa station… which is ideal for traveling via Haneda There is a beautiful garden here as well

Great hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Gym was very small and the pool was closed until July 17, which was one of the main reasons we booked the hotel. Very easy access to Shinagawa station, the Tokyo metro and walkable to a small shopping mall with a selection of restaurants. Great if you need to get to Haneda airport by the 15 minute train ride. Loved that they have a 7-11 in the property. Walls are a bit thin, we could hear people in the room above. Super comfy beds.

Had a great stay in late June. Kind and helpful staff, incredibly clean and spacious room, and great breakfast. The location is within walking distance of Shinagawa station which provides good connections to the rest of Tokyo.

Excellent excellent hotel. Wonderful and delicious breakfast options. 7-11 located conveniently inside hotel. Rooms are spacious. Clean. You are about 10 min walk from Shingawa Station. Convenient. There was an error in booking and I felt the hotel could have done more to help us. But such is life. This was a pleasant stay

I stayed on one of the "club" floors which granted me access to the hotel clubs. Turned out to be quite a nice feature, espresso machine all the time, alcoholic drinks in the evening, and some snacks. The selection wasn't huge but it was friendly and convenient. Breakfast was in the same spot, a small spread, but tasty. The grounds of the hotel (and its sister hotels) were gorgeous with great spots to sit outside and work or recreate.
