It was very funny with Tom. Near the guesthouse there are a lot of beautiful places. One of the most impressive places is the great Buddhist temple. My friend and I will go back to the kamakura guesthouse.

Real Japanese experience guest house in a nice location near station and bus. It felt like returning home. Because we were there for our honeymoon, they organised a shoot on the beach an unforgettable adventure! The host and his wife are really nice, so come and make your stay unique. We slept in a Japanese style room in a nearby house. The bathroom was shared and clean.

When I travel, my wife and I feel like I have a home away from home. This is a wonderful host and guest house with charm and great amenities and a balcony.

I strongly recommend it and want to return if you need a cozy and comfortable stay in a hotel environment. This charming and pleasant little guesthouse is run by a watchful and engaged young man who is a modern samurai dressed as a samurai. He seems a fantastic guy, and I wish I had more time to visit and converse with him. Even he can make you a morning meal! It is conveniently situated at a bus stop and Kamakura Station, it is a 2-minute stroll away. I believe it only has two rooms, although it is tiny.

I highly recommend doing one of his tours because he is a great local guide who runs Irodori. Bush or Samurai is a great local guide who runs Irodori. He is a gold mine of information about kamakura and Japan in general. Bush guided me around the mountains of Kamakura and on the shogun tour. Both are well worth the money as you get a deeper experience than you will get on your own. We also went to see a swordsmith from the generation. Irodori is not a fancy guest house, it's simple, but clean and most importantly, it's authentic Japan.
