This gorgeous home is located on a hill. The most convenient time of day is at night, when you sit in the living room, turn off the lights, and enjoy the scenery. It is well-kept and taken care of, and the guests are quite welcoming. It's located directly across the street from Cape Tachimachi, and on a wonderful day, it's a terrific place to hike up it Hakodateyama. A washer and dryer are included for a small fee. There is a popular area nearby, and the guesthouse allows you to bring a small basket full of shampoo and soap so you don't have to purchase it early. These little touches greatly enhance the comfort of home. Although there are no restaurants near, some light snacks such as cup noodles, curry rice, and beer are sold. Therefore, before hiking up the hill, visit a convenience shop if you enjoy supper and don't have a car. I stayed in the dorm apartment, but I strongly recommend the second-floor Japanesestyle single-double room, which has a stunning view of the city!.

I rarely write reviews, but this location I would really like to recommend! You may stay in a cozy guesthouse with a very hospitable hostess who will explain everything you need to know about Hakodate for a fair price. The view from the window was just breathtaking I had to rise early to watch the sunrise. The guesthouse is not in the center, but it is easily accessible from the station with tram number 2 to the end station yachigashira. It's a short walk uphill passing a beautiful temple. The area is ideal for exploring Hakodate, I recommend walking the way up beginning from the cape just around the guesthouse and going down the ropeway. Don't miss out on the lovely public bath, which is only a 23-minute walk away! Do not worry about the shared bathroom at the guesthouse, it's spotless and very useful. The guesthouse offers inexpensive drinks and noodles in a comfy communal kitchen. Overall, hakodateyama guesthouse is a great spot to stay in Hakodate if you stop in a hurry which you should! On the way north to Hakodate. Hakodate is an intriguing place historically, and I actually wish we had stayed longer than two days. We did by chance discover this location online. It turned out to be one of our better stays in Hokkaido. Lovely double-story house. Quite pleasant. To take in the views, you have to climb up a hill. The price is affordable per person. Parking is available. We stayed in a tatami Japanese-style room with an amazing view. Lots of interesting antique decorations. Wooden theme. It feels like a hostel. Self-service scenario. The host is really friendly and more than happy to help. Yes, he speaks English as well. He also stays there. There is a fully equipped kitchen which you can use. He offers reasonably-priced beers, sodas, cup noodles, and curry rice in a packet. A roomy, clean, spacious bathroom on each floor. We spent 2 excellent nights there. Very relaxing while watching the sea and sipping beers in the room with the view. Very strongly recommended.

Hakodateyama Guest House is a fantastic location to stay. While it is slightly farther from the major tourist attractions, such as the red blockhouse, the view and atmosphere are amazing! If you come and drive during the summer, it is easily accessible to Hakodate for sunset views. It takes less than 5 minutes to drive to the cape to see sunrise. The managers also have a lovely personality and are willing to answer any questions you may have about the attractions. They also gave excellent restaurant recommendations. The room I got was on the 2 nd floor and had a bay view. The restroom and toilet are shared, but there are no cleanliness issues. Driving is best to get a map code from the managers as the phone number is not registered to the Navy System.

The hotel is located in a small hilly area. I had a great time in my shared room, everything was pleasant and peaceful. A short walk to the last tram station. Parking is available for car users. A short distance from the cable car for Hakodate Yama is 1520. All of the staff members and owners were very nice and helpful! The sunrise and sunset views are wonderful. I will definitely stay here again!.
