I had a good time during my stay, although the area is rather steep, making it not suitable for older people. It would be helpful to have signs on both corners to help you locate the location because it is quite steep. I discovered that getting here was best by getting off at the kwakidani train station, continuing downhill past the fire station. A short distance down the hill after the road makes saggy, continue walking until you reach tastier bridge where the street makes an abrupt left turn, take the path to the right and follow it past mr water wheel, and the guesthouse will shortly be on your right side. The hot tub is excellent but can be in high demand, its open 24 hours if you want it, which is open all the time, so i used it many times during our twonight visit. Traditional japanese bedding is like sleeping on naivete, the pillows are not much either, unless you prefer the Hilton, then spend four times the cost and stay somewhere else. For the price, im saying its worth the stay here.5,0/511 Jul 2024

A charming little place in hakone. The prices are very reasonable. I got a single room, nice, clean and cute. Staff service is excellent and efficient. Can speak english and is very friendly. Met other nice travelers there. It might be chilly in the room during winter and spring. Im from sahi country and not used to cold so thats more my thing. Overall would stay again!.4,8/526 Agt 2024

I would strongly recommend it. This cozy wooden inn was fantastic! Very clean, and the front desk staff member was incredibly helpful and kind (and spoke english, japanese, or chinese). I was fortunate to have reserved the only single room that the inroom had, which was very comfortable tatamistyle small room with a comfortable futon and wooden sliding screens. In i fully wooden saunastyle room, there was even he small onsen, making it feel very luxurious to soak in. It is reasonably accessible being based on its proximity 5 minutes from the bus stop and 10 minutes walk from mitanoshita station. If you use shortcut stairs between houses to ascend the hill rather than following the main road, as application maps would tell you, it is fairly accessible. They provide towels, laundry, yukata (pyjamasrobes) and other amenities at comparatively low prices (see photo of guest house rules).4,8/54 Jun 2024

This charming guesthouse is located in a charming mountain neighborhood of hakone. The home is adorable and spotless, with bright and lively common areas where happy guests can converse in the cafe or bar. If you need anything, the hosts are available around the clock, at the coffee or nearby all day. They are very friendly and eager to assist with your requirements. This place feels cozy and inviting because it is designed like i live in my shared home! With fewer shops, bus stops, 7/11, and train station just 5-7 minutes walk away, this location is really handy, as there are small shrines, little shops on site, buses stops for 711, seven eleven, etc., it makes sense to know which direction you want to go. You can check directions with the host first, but the roads separate like trees. I loved my stay and the dog named rum!.4,8/55 Mar 2024

The manager and owner were amazing. Not only does he check in and recommends things to do around hakone, but besides that, i run the bar and make decent hot food for people drinking until around 11 pm. Very friendly and very accommodating. Feels like a good, genuine person. The hostel was also nice, with oksized bed in wooden capsule. Disliked A bit old and the toilet was tinier, which is standard for small or cheap japan.4,8/528 Jul 2023

This bandb is close to shangdicang station. You can find it by turning along the slope after getting off the bus. BandB is a joint venture of ten young people in jinjiang. The bandB was built in the japanese style and is run by amiable young individuals. When restaurants close early in hakone, bands provide guests with basic meals, including hamburgers, curry rice, and ramen for dinner, salads and bread for breakfast, as well as drinks such as juice, milk, coffee, wine, etc. Ram is the band Bs dog. He is quite adorable and enthusiastic about tourists. If you live alone, you can select if you stay alone. Traveling with friends, there are options for sharing rooms. Here, guests can wash and dry their clothes, shower, take soaking in hot springs or converse with the owner of the hotel. A number of young folks are very enthusiastic. Its a pleasant and affordable place to stay. The atmosphere is rustic and laidback. If youve been walking all day and are hungry, the portion of the food is insufficient. There is also fewer portions of breakfast. Although there is only one person at able to use the shared shower room and onsen at once, it is incredibly convenient. A guesthouse with a bar on the top of soaring hill. The proprietors of the guest houses were very attentive to your needs and happy to talk to you. A friendly dog named mr. Ken is also present to greet you and play with you! At night, if you want to meet other travelers over drinks and food, there is tavern open in the dining area. This guesthouse provided us with a wonderful experience. Both the proprietors and the other guests were incredibly welcoming. We enjoyed many enjoyable evenings in the bar area with other travelers, and we were permitted to bring our own food and beverages. The rooms are adequate, with comfortable futons. The hostel is conveniently located near the openair museum. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Shunsuke went above and beyond to dismantle every train, ropeway, cable car, etc. He speaks english fluently. I should take it to do the things i wanted to go. Even the most incredible hike was suggested by him. There is nothing ive said enough about these individuals.
