I loved the stay. Everyone was really pleasant. House rules made sense and kept everything in shape to be usable for eveyone. I loved the simpleness and at the same time it was cosy and welcoming. Neighborhood felt safe The busstation was 2 min. waking. All in all great value for the price. We would come again.

Personally, I loved this location. It was quiet, had plenty of convenience stores around, and the living area was so cozy. I can see how people not prepared for something minimalist may not enjoy this hotel, but I thought it was so fun. It almost reminded me of a summer camp, and the staff was super friendly!

(全て料金とのみあいで)京都の街中(ちょっとはずれ)にもかかわらず、この料金で宿泊できるとは驚きです。バスはシャワーしかありませんが近隣(4㎞、車なので)のスーパー銭湯でゆっくり、夕食もここでとって、大満足。私達夫婦以外は国外から観光に来られた方々です。でも、よく理解していてむやみに話しかけてきたりしません。自分としては、スピードなんとかで英会話習得中なので、話しかけられてもよかったのですが…。これからは、京都での宿泊はゲストハウスに限ります

Hyggeligt og familiært hostel, med en god og imødekommende atmosfære. Vi sov i et traditionelt japansk værelse med tatami måtter og futons. Komforten er ikke helt i top, så man skal tage det som en oplevelse. Der er to toiletter og to brusebade, så hvis der er mange gæster, kunne der godt blive kø. Udemærket wifi og aircondition på værelset. Man skal huske sit eget håndklæde.

A lovely, quiet experience with friendly staff. Not particularly social between guests if you're looking to meet a lot of people and certainly not a party hostel but if you want somewhere relaxing and calm to stay whilst enjoying your trip it's perfect! The hostel beds are nice and spacious enough for your bags to stay with you. Lots of nice places close to the hostel and train station's not far so we didn't struggle location-wise. Thanks for having us!

Great affordable accomodation. We stayed in a Japanese style private room, with very comfortable futon beds. The hostel was close to buses, convenience stores and some shrines as well Nijo castle. We were able to rent bicycles for 500 yen and bike around the city. Downtown Gion was a bus ride away and was great at night with plenty of shopping of dining out options. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.
