I highly recommend this place for a weekend when you don't want to think about anything. In the summer you can play pinging or sing on karaoke for free, and you can also use the hot spring. I really recommend the restaurant because the yoko open beer is great.

In early May, in Japan, in the heart of golden week, I landed here. Snow capped mountains can be seen in the distance. The hotel is located at the foot of a ski slope. This location must be very suitable for skiers during the ski season. The hotel itself is somewhat outdated, but it is nevertheless a pleasant lodging option. The beds and rooms are tidy. However, your bathtub needs thorough cleaning. I advise using the enormous bath. This hotel has four large baths, two for each gender. Japanese and western cuisine is served as a buffet for breakfast. The Japanese options are quite good. I advise traveling to this area all year round.

We stayed at this hotel with our 7 yearold child, whilst it wasnt close to the main town, a short cab can be taken there. The rooms and hotel itself are a little worn out, and the bathrooms might use some work, but everything worked. There wasnt really anything for our child to do on an evening, but if there were other kids with us, it might have been better. I'm rating this high because the staff was friendly and helpful, the ski hire was right next to the hotel and the best value of any of the area, and you could literally ski to your hotel's front door. The ski resort at the hotel door is fantastic. Strangely, you could order ski passes for your room, but not for ski hire. The ski hire had to be paid in cash, and as with most of yoko, almost everywhere only accepts cash. We liked this hotel because there were manly Japanese and few international travelers, so we really felt like we were in Japan. The evening food options are huge and of a good selection, breakfast was the same, but unfortunately there were no cereal options, it really focused on Japan. It would have been nice if you had some cereal. This is an excellent location if you like being away from home and mixing with the locals. The staff made an effort to accommodate us even though there were only one or two that could speak English.

This hotel is a typical Japanese ski hotel with an attached indoor and outdoor ski areas and is conveniently located. It's directly next to a chairlift. The rooms are large with a bed area and tatami area, and the facilities are quite complete. The star attraction must be the buffet dinner, which has a fantastic selection and is of good quality. There is a real brewery in the big dining hall, similar to a beer hall, making real beer that is sold locally. However, this ski area suginosawa isn't linked to the main area sakura, so be prepared to take different buses pounded on strange schedules or ski the same green runs in one area! There is a shuttle bus running by the village but it just finished running when we arrived. Walking is either about 40 minutes or take half by bus and walk the other half. However, walking is not recommended if the snow is heavy. Ski rental is simple, but the beginner skier will benefit. The staff is friendly and helpful, but more staff would help. Overall, this is suitable for families looking for gentle slopes and simple skiing. It would be helpful if everyone spoke Japanese.

無料バスが巡回してますが、ホテルの真ん前ではなく、歩いて30秒位の所にあります。バス停が雪で埋もれており分かりにくいです。申し込み時には無料リフト券は記載なかったですが、宿泊分の無料リフト券はありがたかったです。
