Heerlijke kamer, goed onderhouden, goede bedden en dekens, airco en ramen kunnen open. Ruime badkamer met groot bad. Goede ligging in Gion, s avonds rustig gelegen. Echt een plek om terug te komen. Ontbijt haalden we elders, we niet helemaal onze smaak

Just wat you expect from a hotel to get Kyoto vibe. The street, hotel entrance, room decor and arrangement, window/view, and of course, perfect Japanese toilet/bath could not make you feel mistaken, you are in Kyoto, Japan. Location is great to just walk around Gion district or across the river, subway is not too far. A tip: on our first night, we were late (maybe about 8-8:30 PM) and were having hard time to find a good place to eat in the area. Lots of restaurants seem to close early there. Walk to Pontocho Alley across the river is not that long, and this is where you find lots of nice places to eat.

The staff was so inviting and helpful (especially Yumi at the front desk). The hotel room was spacious, had a beautiful bathroom, and was very clean. This hotel is definitely a gem.

A great hotel located across the river from Pontocho and well situated for moving around the city. A quiet neighborhood. Breakfast was not easily available at the restaurant - we didn’t manage to arrange it in our three night stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Gion Misen in Kyoto. The rooms were surprisingly spacious, especially by Kyoto standards, and everything was spotless. The decor was thoughtfully done—modern but still warm and inviting, which made it a very comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. Breakfast was also a really nice touch—simple, but high quality and a great way to start the day. Overall, a wonderful combination of comfort, cleanliness, and great service in a perfect Kyoto location. Would definitely stay here again.

Located on a quiet street in Gion. Helpful staff with good enough English. Comfortable bed with a good sized room, for Japan. We enjoyed a good and filling Japanese breakfast one morning. This hotel has more of a bed and breakfast feel to it. The taxi accidentally took us to the Gion Misen Furumonzen hotel as Google Maps frequently gets them mixed up. However, that hotel is a sister hotel to Hotel Gion Misen so they had a staff member personally walk us the block over to the correct location. We liked its location and would consider a stay here again if we get a chance to come back!

Nice little hotel in a great location. The staff was really wonderful and extremely helpful. Recommended a great teppanyaki place, and were able to get us a reservation even though that restaurant is very busy and popular, helped us with luggage forwarding and were willing to go out of the way to help with anything that was needed. Even though the rooms were a bit small, they were absolutely spotlessly clean with comfortable beds

Very quiet and clean, comfortable beds and good sized rooms. Above all, great staff, really helpful and warm. If I had to go back to Kyoto I would stay there again without a doubt.

Excellent location near cafes and restaurants in the Gion District. Close to the river, so easy to walk into the city, and very close to public transport. We really enjoyed our stay and excellent western breakfast at their sister hotel.

気に入りました。駅や三条のバスロータリーから近く、四条に徒歩圏内ですが川を渡るので静かなエリアです。コンビニも近くにあり、困ることはありません。特に気に入ったのはお風呂がいわゆる家庭用の設備で、ちゃんとお湯をはって入れた事。それ以外の設備も過不足なく。また朝ごはん付でしたが、パンなど軽食のビュッフェかと思ったらちゃんとした和定食で、それも気に入りました。基本的に仕事で来るのですが、次もここに泊まろうと思います。

Friendly staff and easy check in. Room on the 5th floor was fantastic - spacious, an incredibly comfortable bed, and we loved being able to warm up and relax with hot baths after busy days of exploring Kyoto. The hotel is in a great location, close to metro trains and other great spots to eat and drink. Highly recommended.
