This is the last time I stayed here. The location is quite strategic because it is close to restaurants and amazing restaurants. But for the staff, they have a very kind guy, especially for the driver who will help us so much. The room size was large. The food is interesting and the vibes are very cool. The place has a cool vibe. The bathroom looks old, and there are variable water pressures. The breakfast we got was unusual with a unique experience, they have a Japanese restroom. The condition of the hotel is not very well maintained. It has a great location, the area is beautiful, and so much transportation, particularly for transportation around.

We stayed two nights here. Our room had a wonderful mountain view. The ocean was also very pleasant with an open space in the fresh air. We enjoyed bathing in the evening and again in the morning and never used the bathtub or shower in our room. The only problem was that the food was out of our price range so we went somewhere to eat.

The hotel is difficult to rate. One of the rooms is enormous and extremely cozy. On the other hand, everything requires an upgrade to an upgraded standard. The hotel is clean, and the staff is extremely helpful. To get to the hotel, either call for a pickup at Zakone Station or take the cable car to Koenkami Stop and walk a few hundred meters to the hotel. Breakfast is ordered the day before and delivered at the table the next morning at the agreed time. Breakfast is good, but coffee could be better. We also tried the set menu of courses. Dinner was a reasonably priced choice, but it was good. According to our opinion, they could have slowed down a little and left a little break between the dishes. The menu is inspired by the French kitchen, which we also found odd when in Japan. We would have preferred a Japanese inspired kitchen. However, the restaurant is a good practical option after a long day of hiking in the national park. The starting thermal bath and sauna area is functional but in serious need of renovation. The outdoor area is the greatest part. The size of the rooms, the comfortable hotel, and friendly personnel would give this hotel 5 stars. I only have 3 stars for this review due to the extreme lack of maintenance.

I adored the hotel overall. My disappointment was that we only had a few hours to get there. Well, as many people have pointed out, the hotel is a little antiquated unless you enter the rooms. And once you realize that it is an old motel, you may as well adore it. It has an old-world charm. Very large rooms by Japanese standards, nicely furnished, and in a lovely location. What else can you possibly want? Even the rooms' robes, which are in three sizes, are printed, rather than the standard white ones found in other Japanese hotels. The Zakone ropeway gate is about a 30-minute taxi ride away, it is in a hilly area, and the day we checked in, it was raining. The onset center is on the and floor, and the Est level is the one for onset, a spa, and a tennis court. Zakone is a city of onset, which is a naked method of public bathing. The resort has therefore, obviously one. It also offers free massages using motorized chairs and a spa. Tried the full-body massage chair, which I particularly needed due to my extensive walking distance and it was not a 5-course meal the following day. There is no coin laundry in the hotel. The hotels we wanted weren't our first choice, but they weren't booked. We had requested a pleasant view and had been pleased to pay in full when we made the reservation, but we were given a room with a small dormer window that faced away from the mountains and was dark, even during the day. When we checked in, my husband and teen son promptly went out for a few hours and took the one key they had given us. I went to the front desk to request an extra key, but they said there was only one key per room. So I wouldn't go outside until they returned. I did inquire if I went for a walk could they just let me in when I got back, but they said they wouldn't. There were enormous mosquitoes in the room, which we didn't discover until we switched off the lights. Because there were warnings about dengue fever in this area, they might have placed insect screens on the windows. Breakfast was included and the time slot had to be reserved at check-in. It included risotto and croque monsieur, which was a bit strange, but the meals were large. Our room was clean, but some parts of the hotel were somewhat run down. Tennis courts and outside entrances were closed, and the corridors outside smelled musty and moldy. We peed at the outdoor end and
