Great service, public bath and room. In a more relaxed area of town. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Believe it or not found an amazing Spanish restaurant in Kyoto. Close to everything. Great 7-11 around the corner.

Beautiful hotel!! Customer service was exceptional!! The staff went out of there to make my husband comfortable since he had a walking problem!! They even ran to the road to glad a taxi for us!! The best staff I’ve ever seen!! The hotel also had free events everyday which was a delightful touch to our stay!!

The hotel was busy, but my room was quiet. No safes in the room, but you can leave valuables with the reception for safe keeping. The hotel was close to the subway and the covered markets. They offered some nice entertainment every night in the lobby for a brief period.

Great stay at Kyoto. Hotel is close to bus and metro stations, and there are also DIVINE restaurants nearby (such as Fuyacho Ueno and Hafu). There's also a onsen, but it can get crowded sometimes. Breakfast is fine.

Fantastic and very helpful staff at the front desk. Room was fresh and filled with new amenities (coffee, tea etc.) every day. They had a small matcha kit in the room which was a plus for someone who’s recently gotten more interested in matcha. We received a room on the ninth floor with view towards some buildings, nothing special but better than just having a wall there. Breakfast was good with a mix of western and Japanese dishes. Location is ok, bus seems to be the main public transport. It was about a 10 min walk for us to any station. We did not try the public bath, but there seemed to be a lot of people trying that out. This was a part of our anniversary stay and they welcomed us with some rose petals and a towel elephant + a note at arrival which was appreciated. Overall a good stay!

They had special cultural events almost every night and the area was a great home base for getting around Kyoto. The rooms were lovely and modern with a traditional Japanese style. I enjoyed the onsen too (and that it was tattoo friendly in that you could buy stickers from the front desk that were a suitable cover).

We stayed for five nights and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations-comfort, staff, breakfast, location, and amenities. The onsen was truly rejuvenating, offering a peaceful retreat with all the essentials we needed. The breakfast was well-priced and offered a fantastic variety, including authentic Kyoto-style obanzai and Western options, ensuring a delightful start to our mornings. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, going above and beyond to make our stay special. The rooms were exceptionally quiet and thoughtfully designed, with little touches like matcha, tea, coffee, and high-quality amenities that made us feel welcome and relaxed. We left feeling completely refreshed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kyoto. Looking forward to staying here again!
