We were made to feel really welcome from the very first moment of arrival! We had walked up from the zoo bus station, and they were enraged as they collected us. We were taken wherever we needed to go. Ski rental shop where we brought our shoes back to the hotel so that we could go straight to the slopes, the cable ropeway every day. To and from, another local onset, another local restaurant.. In fact, the free taxi service was always available. The meals were wonderful and beautifully presented. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and a good size and serviced twice daily. Beds are put away during the day and brought out again at night. We had a wonderful massage. The man arrived to our room. My son once left his ski hat and gloves somewhere he thought local family mart. He explained this to the staff who gave him gloves. The hat and gloves were in our room that night. Never found out where they came! One of our party forgot his hat at the hotel when we came on the ropeway. The kind hotel man drove him back to the hotel to get it. We stayed there for five nights. It felt like family. Highly recommend this reasonably priced and excellent hotel. The on-site starting is also excellent. Indoor and outdoor pools are available.4.6/521 Nov 2022

The hotel and the staff are great. Everyone we met was helpful and helpful. They took us wherever we needed to go. One day we looked for hot chocolate but everything was closed. One of the staff called around town till he found an open cafe. The food at the hotel is also delicious.4.6/511 May 2022

We plan to go to Snow Mountain at night but we only booked one night there. The gondola was closed that evening because it was raining and winding. We quickly changed our plans and decided to spend the entire day there and take a late flight out of Senpai instead. Although the interior decor was outdated and it seemed like time travel, the service we received was very good. During our visit to Waldberg, we were able to rent skis, get rides to and from the bus station, and enjoy the included meals while not speaking Japanese and the staff spoke little to no English. It was a refreshing change from the urban travel we spent the majority of the trip. We will definitely stay longer again to take advantage of the ski in and ski out!.4.4/54 Jul 2023

The staff were all very helpful and pleasant, despite the fact that we lack Japanese. They were happy to pick us up from the bus stop and drop us off at the rental store. We were the only westerners staying in the hotel which was otherwise full of Japanese groups, families, and couples, so it was obviously a popular choice. The room was big for 2 people, japanesestyle, with 12 tatami mats and a separate carpeted area. Great views of the mountains. Western toilet with a heated seat and washing facilities! And the japanese bathroom was both small but clean and functional. The room has iced water and japanese tea making facilities, which was great. You do sleep on the floor on a futon mattress, but they have the best duvets in the world!4.2/53 May 2023

The staff here are very friendly and helpful, whether they're out of their way to take us to the bus station for the breakfast and supper, or they arrange everything for us with an understanding of the breakfast and dinner. They gave us a warm welcome, even though we haven't heard of Japanese before. The traditional paper-walled rooms are also great. I've never been to a traditional paper-walled room before, but they make the room look new. And best of all, the food, which is included in the price we paid. The brunch was tasty, but the dinner was delicious. On one night, I had a delicious, amazing yamagata beef broth prepared on our table. It was also amazing. The hot springs are very good. Although this hotel may be outdated, it's an excellent destination for skiing when visiting a zoo.Location
