We knew we had found one of our favorite guesthouses right away when we were greeted warmly by nami san. Our corner room with a bath, sitting area, and bedroom with two comfortable beds perfectly suited our needs. As ardent crosscountry skiers, we are thrilled to discover many excellent trails. The guest house also offers snowshoe tours. To clarify, you can walk to several restaurants or purchase some food at the guest houses raicho the (instant soup, rice, etc.) to make in the kitchen. In addition, the hostel also has tavern with four different homemade cakes and locally roasted coffee beans at another location.

We had a great three days and took part in two tours here. The hotel has excellent facilities and service. Our stay was enjoyable and we enjoyed our threeday stay. Traditional japanesestyle rooms are provided. Young, enthusiastic, and fluent in english are the staff members. There is presently onsite courtesy shuttle service available to restaurants, ski resorts, etc. For breakfast, bagels and selfmade curry rice or spaghetti are sufficient. Additionally, the nearby restaurants offer good quality.

I wanted to stay in kamikochi but i was late and the other hotels were too expensive. So ive found this place. What? A comfortable queen bed room with table, desk and even a basin for 9900 jpy per night? And it only takes one hour by bus to get to kamikachi! Guess what, they also got their own hot spring bath. No brainer. Booked for 2 nights. It turned out to be incredibly fun! Met solitary traveler at checkin. Checkin process was easy and fast. Lock on the room. The manager was friendly and introduced some local restaurants. HelpeD me to book the nearby cafe maple which he highly recommends for dinner. Also offer 200 mrph for the cafe at the bus station. Onsen is great indoors and outdoor. They also have bicycle rental. There are 2 kitchens where you can cook your own meals. Large common area that is perfect for working or just relaxing. Met several hikers from china and spent the night talking to them in the common areas while drinking oolong tea. Overall the guest house is clean and tidy, with emphasis on nature and sustainability. Highly recommended if you are passing through this area.

This is an amazing place to stay! They have some of the best winter tours in kamikochi and the private onsen system is the icing on the cake after a long day. The service staff are very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. I will definitely be back here.

I stayed in the dorm here and enjoyed the onsens, peaceful surroundings, and facilities. The host is very helpful and explain hikes and nearby attractions, as well as providing a shuttle service to restaurants and the supermarket. They have an indoor and outdoor onset that you can reserve for your own private bath. You can cook your meals in this modern kitchen because it is fully equipped. There are two hiking trails nearby, along with maps with detailed information.

This is an amazing place to stay! They have some of the best winter tours in kamikochi and the private onsen system is the icing on the cake after a long day. The service staff are very helpful and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. I will definitely be back here.

I would recommend it to anyone! They have a hot spring and pristine rooms, along with incredibly detailed instructions on how to spend your time there. The scenery was breathtaking during the snowshoe hiking tour, which was led by seasoned guides. I want to express my gratitude to the employees, your kindness made me feel at ease.

We had a great time and were sad to leave. The dorm rooms are excellent they are clean, roomy, and private. There are plenty of places to sit and unwind in the kitchen and common areas, which are very wellequipped with free tea or coffee, oil, seasonings, etc. They had rice and other small food items available when we were there, but since there are no stores close by, we strongly advise stocking up on food before arriving (packed lunches for walks, meals for dinner, among other things). The onsens were fantastic, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, making reservations very simple once you arrive. Its ideally located near the bus station, just ten minutes walk away, offering pristine surroundings and relaxation. I sincerely hope to visit again someday.

A great place to stay for a japanese highland experience. The location is peaceful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the cooking facilities are good. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Outdoor onsen is set well for privacy. Mountain bike tour is ok and reasonably priced. I will be back sometime.

The owner and staff are very friendly. We missed the last bus to the guesthouse, so the owner arranged for another guest house to accommodate us and canceled one night of our booking even though it was our fault. The place is very relaxing and the crowd is quite interesting. They also have 2 onsens. I will come back soon!.

I spent a few days there. It was fantastic. Very cozy and spotless. The personnel were also outstanding. They were really kind and helpful. To the neighboring locations, they offer pickup and dropoff services. Additionally, when i needed to transfer to another location, them dropped us off at the bus station. I also participated in three snowshoeing excursions with them. Their prices were fair, and the guides were very competent. Clean shared showers are provided. Credit card payment is accepted at one of the only locations there for this purpose. A slot for the public onsen is available for you. There is hardly any convenience stores nearby, so if you visit that area, it is highly advised to stay there or schedule obliging tour!.

Ill have to give them the highest praise. I have nothing but positive things to say about this place. Amazing staff first of all, they were very accommodating and guided me through the area and allowed me to join a last minute tour. Plus one of the staff even offered to take me back to the station which is about ten minutes drive! Not only that, but they also returned my lost beanie and gloves to me! Im so happy i decided to stay there and the wood cabin vibes and onsen were perfect, the travelers ive met there were so friendly, and if he had the chance, ill definitely stay in raicho again!.
