Overall 3. 5 stars My early summer lodging was enjoyable. I had mixed emotions because the motel is at the far end of a sizable parking area and has a drab exterior, however, the interior is pleasant. The included supper was the finest part of my trip. The tamari lakeside lakeside pool on the fourth level was superb but nothing unique. I found mine to be very spacious and comfortable, as did my sashimi, vegetables, and soup. The presentation was stunning. Breakfast was also good. Despite numerous attempts by me to connect to room wifi, the hotel claimed to provide it. The first-floor communal restrooms were excellent but nothing extraordinary. With a view of the lake, the outdoor pool on the fourth floor of Rothenburg was lovely.

Service at its best in terms of quality and hospitality. The food was so good, especially the private breakfast on the roof. The location is so nice with the beautiful lake view. The employees were so attentive. Will come back for sure.

The rate is higher. The room with views of Lake Tamara was incredible. I used this place to explore Kakunodate, which was about a fifteen-minute drive to the west. The exterior appeared a little aged, but the interior was bright and contemporary. When we arrived, the staff welcomed us warmly, took us to the lobby, and gave us a mushroom tea to unwind while we checked in. The standard menu includes regional fare, which may vary depending on the season. As the standard course was fairly extensive, our travel agent was correct and said there is no need to order additional side dishes. The onset, located on the ground floor, was tidy and roomy. The rooftop has an onset bath which you can use as long as it is not full. Unfortunately, it was completely booked every time we saw because many guests were having fun at the weekend. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The price is higher.

The nice thing about Katakuri No Hana is that it's not close to the statue of Takatsuo, but the stunning sunset makes up for it. It costs around 100 yen to travel to the Takatsuo statue. When you get to Tazawako station, they have a free shuttle bus to transport you to and from the hotel. You need to make a reservation by phone or email.
