I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience in Kyoto because of the gorgeously preserved 100 year old roman structure with a modern bath. The downstairs bar and private upstairs lounge have a nice 60 s vibe, while the bedrooms and living room are entirely traditional. The location is close to bus stops throughout the city, which is unquestionably the easiest way to visit all the sites. It is very tranquil at night. There is a public bath in the shape of a hot springs right next door that is open early, as well as a few sites and excellent restaurants that are easily accessible on foot. Although it is not currently managed like a Roman hotel, but rather as a vacation rental, the owners are extremely welcoming and understanding, and the air conditioning and wifi both functioned flawlessly. We were very disappointed to depart it.

I was delighted with the beautiful, well-kept roman located in a peaceful area, close to a station 1 train station and away from the center of Kyoto. We had the entire upper floor to ourselves and really enjoyed the authentic elements of the roman. Excellent service from the proprietors and a nice bar downstairs. Wifi worked very well.

We had a wonderful time in this amazing 200-year-old home. Great spacious, bright living room, 3 nice and comfortable bedrooms with a comfortable futon bed and a very useful bathroom. Wonderful sense of total immersion in Japan's history. On top of that, it's great to meet Jiro and Seanacey. It's always nice to come downstairs for a beer or a taste of Japanese whisky in the charming bar, a trip in and of itself. Definitely highly recommended, totally in line with the pictures and description provided.

In March 2014, my family and I spent two nights at the rinse inn in Kyoto. It took us a step back in time in the inn, but there is wifi for the futons, slippers, and tatami mats. I'm not sure if that's the correct word for them. Kokoro and Seanacey recommended several wonderful, reasonably priced restaurants in the area. Kokoro and Seanacey were also charming. Since the staff of the neighborhood restaurant isn't fluent in English, have your Google Translate app or similar nearby handy. This enhanced the trip for us, and we never ate hungry. A train station is within walking distance of Rinse Inn, which is one stop from Kyoto Station. However, Kokoro and Seanacey will also call a taxi if necessary. This is unquestionably advised!.
