Very clean and the staff were very professional and inviting. Private onsen was fantastic. Room was spacious, clean, and modern. Loved that all lights were controlled by a center console. Definitely a must stay when you are in Kyoto. It was also walking distance to the markets.

It was a comfortable and quiet stay right in the heart of Kyoto. Conveniently located by a subway stop, close to shops and restaurants, but not right in the middle of loud busy areas. It was a refuge and would recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!

Perfect spot in Kyoto near all of the hot spots. Great check-in process and was able to accommodate us when we showed up at 10 AM. Small gym that includes hand weights. Such polite and wonderful staff. Very polished building and amenities.

We had a wonderful stay at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Sanjo Premier. Honestly, I think this one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. The hotel is located a few minutes from the Karasuma Oike metro stop, which makes it very easy to get to Kyoto Station. It’s also centrally located to a lot of the sites in Kyoto like Nijo Castle, the national garden, Ginkakuji and the Philosophers Path. It’s also a few minutes from Nishiki Market and right across the street from the Kyoto Museum. There were plenty of restaurants and coffee shops to choose from for breakfast and dinner right in the neighborhood. The property was fresh, modern and impeccably clean. We had the happy hour here one night, and found the food and drink options to be fresh and interesting. I didn’t try the breakfast or dinner here. Our room was spotless and comfortable. The shower was amazing. Absolutely no faults in the property or upkeep. The staff added a luster to the property. Always cheerful and supremely helpful, they arranged for our baggage shipment to our next destination and worked with me on my rudimentary Japanese. All of the staff I encountered had a very advanced level of English conversational ability. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We simply loved this property

A great hotel in every imaginable aspect. Location is great. Rooms are spacious and well kept and cleaned. Amenities include private and a public onsen, a fitness facility, and a laundry facilitiy that uses Suica card. Staff is friendly and supportive. Dinner was extraordinary.

We loved staying here. It was super clean, spacious, and foreigner friendly. We had a washer/dryer in our room that was super useful. The restaurant downstairs is also very good. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

I would definitely stay here next time I visit Kyoto and I will be back. Hotel 5 Star items hotel Is very clean, the location is fantastic. Staff are polite but limited English which was not a problem. Laundry room and decent size gym. 4 star items: Onsen is relaxing but if you are expect ing a cold plunge to go with the hot bath water you will need to take a cold shower. That being said it remains open until 1 AM. Of the 4 hotels we stayed at we liked this breakfast the least, it wasn't bad just not as good as some of the other buffets. That being said their are a lot of coffee and pastry shops in the neighborhood which were a delight to try.

Perfect location to access trains and walk to many shopping streets, restaurants, Yasaka shrine etc. Rooms are very comfortable with great amenities like cutlery and glasses and coffee and tea. I enjoyed being able to grab a good coffee from the lobby to drink while I got ready in the mornings. The shower may have been the best I’ve *ever* had, worldwide! Everything about our stay was comfortable and lovely. Family Mart on the corner (iykyk). breakfast looked wonderful but we were always out exploring during breakfast hours (iykyk) so we didn’t try it. The only negative was the laundry: convenient in the basement but left our clothes wet even after extended dry cycles, and left it stinkier than when we put it in. Next time, we won’t do laundry…but we will stay again!
