For a longer stay, it might be preferable to stay somewhere more comfortable. I discovered this hotel through the International Tourist Center of Japan, located on the 1 st floor of Sean department store above kyoto or station, which also provided me with a booking number and map for this business hotel. It's quite tricky to find and is best to turn left at the southern exit of Hiroyama or station and then down a few tunnels before getting to this hotel, although they officially advise you to enter through the front entrance and then down some tunnels. Along the journey, you'll probably get lost. It can be quite noisy because it's very dark and close to the racetrack. The hotel is decent, and the room is decent, despite being a touch antiquated. It also has a rustic, cosy vibe. The room was large, and the rates were very reasonable 500 yen for one person to sleep in a western style room with baths and a very cozy tatami on Christmas Day. The bathroom was fine, with a nice, hot shower, and the room was extremely warm. The receptionist actually switches on his laptop for you to use inside the ground floor restaurant if you need to use the internet. It is strange. However, there is a curfew, and the front door closes at either midnight or at dawn.

Having a traditional Japanesestyle room in a futon bed was what I stayed in here for one night. If you want to save money, you should try a Japanese-style breakfast as a surprise. The location is straightforward to find: simply request directions from the station or the lady who was at the front desk has no English. He was aware of my internet reservation but had already paid after I checked in. The english-speaking host later apologized for the misunderstanding! The room had air conditioning and to. A tiny safe contained towels and basic amenities. The shower tub combination was cramped, but the water was fine. Although I did find the pillow to be too difficult, the futons were comfy. You should try it because I had only requested a Japanese-style breakfast. The gentleman who spoke English and the lady were extremely friendly, giving specifics on each item. Although I didn't see any other tourists there, it was so close to the train station, so you should try it if you want to save money!.

It was in fact challenging to find the hotel. Despite having a map on the welcome inn website, we accidentally got lost. Fortunately, a nice Japanese woman took us to the motel by car I just enjoy Hiroshima people. In fact, walking takes only 57 minutes to walk to the hotel, which is near the railway station. I reserved two rooms for seven people, but because my son had to cancel at the last minute, there were only six of us available. Unfortunately, I didn't let the hotel know about this change in advance, but the owner was very understanding and didn't charge us for our error. In the end, we were given access to a large room that could fit 67 people. The bathtub in the bathroom was of Western size. Although my mother-in-law with broken knees struggled to lift up and down on a futon in my case, I personally appreciated sleeping on it. The motel may be a little noisy due to its proximity to the station, but it didn't bother me at all. While almost no one in this hotel works in this hotel can speak English, they are extremely cordial and polite. When we went down to use the internet in the foyer, the proprietor provided us hot green tea and yogurt for free. New tatsuo may be a little subpar in comparison to the modern brand-name hotel we stayed in

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights while traveling around Japan in July 2011. We had difficulty finding the hotel even though we had previously stayed here and could vaguely recall the location! The reception staff while we were there seemed to speak very little English and I speak very little Japanese but we muddled together with great patience. The hotel rooms are probably a bit run down and it must be said that it is almost directly under the Shinkansen lines that come into or Hiroshima so I probably wouldn't recommend staying if you are a very light sleeper. But it didn't bother us, but it's still a true value for money. Hard to find a better price anywhere in the country and this more than compensates for any minor issues if you're traveling on a tight budget.
