The rooms were nice and spacious. The view from ours was great! Staff very friendly and welcoming. The only complaint on my end was the buffet wasn’t anything to write home about in comparison to other hotels we stayed in throughout Japan.

We had the Japanese style room. It’s a great cultural experience. The setting is not for everyone, since almost everything is on the floor. But we enjoyed it and having a lot of fun taking pictures. It’s a 5 minutes walk from the Hell Valley and the shopping street. Some of the great trails to walk around the lakes and to the foot bath stream. Lots of options for breakfast buffet.

子どもが産まれて初めて行ったのが登別グランドホテルでした。暫くぶりで行きましたがいとこ会でしたので米寿のお祝いの叔父もすっかり満足してました。お風呂は広くてサウナも思ったより暑く無く最適でした。ホテル代が高くなってる昨今安く泊まれたので夕食はついてるの？と聞かれました。ありがとうございました。

Notice of Exterior Wall and Rooftop Renovation Work

Exterior wall and rooftop renovation work will take place from May 11, 2026 to July 24, 2026.
The work will affect the south side of the main building, parts of the south wing, and the rooftop and exterior walls.
Work is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM, and noise may occur during this period.
During the renovation period, construction workers and related vehicles may move through and park within the property premises.
Views may be partially obstructed, and some indoor and outdoor areas may be temporarily inaccessible.
Areas outside the affected zones will remain open as usual.
The renovation schedule may change depending on work progress.
