We were a group of five women who stayed in two Japanese-style bedrooms with bathrooms and showers. Roman Santino gave us a wonderful two-night stay. This is a lovely motel. We were told by the surroundings at the hotel that the owner's management had taken a lot of thought into it. The lobby and Japanese-style dining area had beautifully adorned furniture and decorative items from classical Japanese styles. The accommodations were extremely tidy and roomy. There, we enjoyed four meals, two breakfasts, and two dinners, and each of them was well-prepared and tasty! Although tiny, the onset room was very efficient and tidy. We had our two-day soak twice a day in which we really had a wonderful time! I loved it. She did her best to treat us. She was prompt to make reservations on the tour we wanted to participate in, and she did her homework over the night, writing down all the information we needed to know, and she would explain it to us in the morning. She even drove from the hotel to the tourist information center, where we were waiting for the pick-up to take us on the journey to make sure we were at the ideal location to check in. She is a beautiful person! If I were her boss, I would have given her the title of the best employees of the month all year long! If you are a skier, it would take

We stayed here for one night during the golden week in Japan this year, a two-week series of public holidays that might join together, is what I understand. We were limited in our hotelryokan selections when we planned our trip in February 2019. Roman santino was one that was available during that time. And given that the previous English review was from 2017, we weren't exactly sure what to anticipate. Yet, we were pleasantly delighted. This is a small hotel of some type. We recognized the staff, and they recognized us. We were greeted by a staff member who spoke some English and tried very hard at it. We were treated with a customized map of the roman with our room, onset locations, and meal areas highlighted and written in English. This gave the impression that we had personalized service. The room was lovely, we could view the zoo mountain from our room. Dinner was served in a private dining room. There was a personal welcome note. The room enabled us to enjoy supper privately. The food was of a high grade! We thoroughly enjoyed it. The ingredients were fresh, and dishes were meticulously prepared. Same goes for brunch. Breakfast is not included but we received a coffee voucher from the lobby. It was special with a coffee foam on top. I enjoy a great coffee and enjoyed this one. This is broken, which is aimed at the leisure market, but I was there on business attending a conference in Senpai, so I was unable to utilize all the facilities to their fullest extent. After the lengthy and somewhat chaotic drive from Tokyo, the handpainted sign on the hotel door that greeted me by name was a comforting sight. We were greeted with green tea after removing our shoes and putting on the provided slippers. Be prepared for a lot of theatrical comedy miming to explain staff are nice, but language is a barrier one receptionist speaks little English. So move with the flow your stay will be staged, but in the broken way there isnt much room for deviation, dont mess with the system! The room was spacious, with a separate toilet and bathroom. Futons are unrolled to sleep at night. The lady who showed us to the room explained how to use our kimonos, through the subtle art of interpretive dance. It was definitely an interesting sight that my blue lamb senior took some getting used to, but it was a friday night so missed breakfast. There was a huge menu and notes that were beautifully painted, along with elaborately carved vegetables, skewered meats and fish, and a variety of non-identifiable supplies. If you enjoy staying in traditional Japanese inns, this is great, but for western tourists it's not practical in many ways. A lot of guests use the main bathhouse inns like this one. After spending far too many nights in a lodge staying at these types of hotels on a trip, it becomes difficult to spot travel items without a bed or bedside table at the entrance of the room. Interesting the night, but it's best to stay away from it unless you really like sleeping on the floor and carrying luggage on the floor. There was good traditional food at the in-house dinners. The Japanese style breakfast was less enjoyable, oh, only fresh juice, fruit, and toast.

I must mention that our Japanese friend accompanied us and it greatly enhanced our enjoyment overall. In fact, the masseur who came to our room on request said that he only sees about one or two foreigners per year! It's unfortunate that I never realized how much or how little English was actually spoken because I can recommend the place, the room, the meals, and the experience as very pleasant!.
