We have a wonderful experience while staying here. We booked directly and found this place on google. The room is spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff is polite. Besides that, the location is excellent. It's close to the subway and walking distance to Nio Castle. We have great decision to stay here while in Kyoto.

In October 2023, my wife and i spent three nights here and had a great time. The staff was outstanding throughout, and the boutique hotel provided us with a charming, spotless, and peaceful setting for exploring kyoto. The bartender was kind and knowledgeable, and it was a nice surprise to discover the bar at the entrance, where it was great to sample some new Japanese spirits as well as some wellknown beverages. Our room was larger than we anticipated from the photos, and over the course of our nineday trip to tokyo and tokyo, our stay here became our favorite of several.

This place is amazing for the size of a hotel in japan! Its not small and clean, and the breakfast is delicious. You can also have breakfast at the bar downstairs! Service is good, Japanese standard. The decoration is stylish and the environment is good. Clean and tidy facilities.

Our most recent stay at villa sanjo muromachi was fantastic! The staff went above and beyond with their unwavering kindness and genuine personal touch, creating an atmosphere that made my husband and i feel like cherished guests. The inhouse bar at villa sanjo muromachi was a true gem, with a great bartender who displayed an impressive knowledge of classic cocktails. Their skill and expertise in mixology were evident as they skillfully created each drink with precision and flair. The hotel rooms themselves were a delightful blend of modern aesthetics and traditional japanese elements. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, they exuded elegance and tranquility. If youre looking for a hotel experience that surpasses all expectations, i wholeheartedly recommend villa sanjo muromachi.

When we arrived, we were given a welcome welcome. They were very accommodating when my husband checked in early without our passports. I enjoyed our stay at this little gem! There is a late bar in the lobby.

My preferred hotel in japan, this place is fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, and the staff is even more so. Your visit feels very personable, and the staff really cares about you. Excellent english speakers as well.

I would definitely return! We stayed in the maisonette 4 people room. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive throughout our stay. The beds were comfortable. Our favorite features were the large bathroom and bathtub, it was very relaxing to be able to soak in the tub after a long day of walking around kyoto. They even had lavender and bath soak packets. Breakfast was tastefully prepared and the pastries were delicious.
