Intersting and beautiful place to stay. Very peaceful. Lovely pool (big and clean) and absolutely lovely staff. Rooms are spacious, modern, very clean with all amenities. There is also a SPA which is cheap and give very good treatments. Breakfast is plentiful with a lot of choice and dinner menu is very good. However, bearing in mind the hotel is huge, it seems that food is prepared in the breafast kitchen which is opposite to the dinner restaurant, therefore by the time food is ready and staff collects it and brings it to your table, it was often verging on cold. Food did take a long time to come (we had dinner 3 nights there). Something needs to be done to keep dinner food warm from the time it is ready and being served. Overrall, a great stay in a palace (which it definitely is!) Abs would highly recommend.

Sentralt beliggende i Pakse. Gigantisk seng.

Probably the nicest, most beautiful, impressive hotel property in Pakse. The breakfast was great, with lots of choices every morning. And the pool area is beautiful, though needs more lounge chairs (there are only 6!... and they don't face the sun). More lounge chairs could be put on the opposite side of the pool to accommodate more hotel guests. Overall, the staff were very friendly, hard-working and helpful. The only reason I can't give this hotel a 5-star rating is because my room wasn't ready at 14:00 as promised because, as I found out, they decided to extend the stay of the previous guests and allow them a late check out. Also, per the website, I booked a room that said it had a balcony (and the pictures were taken in such a way as to make it look like the room had a balcony), but in reality no rooms have private balconies. Rather, the entrances to each room are off of wide exterior verandahs, which is an architectural design flaw in my opinion. If entrances to the rooms were from an interior hallway, each room could have a fantastic, private balcony, which is what I though I was booking. And with all the heavy wooden shutters on the doors and windows, the rooms tend to be very dark and a bit claustrophobic -- unless you open the shutters, which few people do because of privacy concerns.

Pros: Beautiful hotel, well positioned, breakfast included, very well priced. Cons: Incompetent staff (they speak very little English, do not follow instructions), room was teeming with mosquitoes and they didn't seem to mind, to them it was normal, no fly spray. Unstable Electricity, shower in the bathroom flooded the bathroom floor, we had to mop up the water with towels, which in turn the cleaning staff wanted us to pay for. No teabags in room. So in summary, with some decent staff training, a shower screen on the bath, and some fly spray they could turn this hotel into a wonderful, and truly memorable stay.

Room was well decorated and clean, only downside is there are no windows and the room was advertised as having a balcony. It does not have a balcony! Breakfast is supposed to be from 6am, more like 6.30 a few bits slowly come out, beans and sausages all come out stone cold. Staff are not very attentive, it’s looks like they don’t really want to be there.

Staff great service great but the way the hotel is managed is a joke. They shut down all restaurants and bars so the owner could throw themselves a party. Guests were left to fend for themselves.

The staff are very nice but the way the hotel is managed is a joke. The owner had a party for himself at the hotel. The hotel has 2 restaurants and 1 bistro. The owner's party was held in one restaurant. But .. they closed all the restaurants to guests. There was no food or drink available. All guests had to fend for themselves. The owner showed exactly what he thought of the guests. We were appalled. Again, staff were great. They were embarrassed when I confirmed I couldnt get a drink or anything to eat Do not stay here.
