Overall I'm very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to stay here once more. It's hard to say anything negative about my stay. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, the room itself is big and relaxing. Only the bathroom lacks amenities, but you can get them free at the front desk.

The hotel is immaculate, tidy, and in a fantastic location. It's actually a lovely walk around 10-15 minutes to get to the action. You can't complain about the price of our twin room and breakfast. There is a lot to do, and just for the unlimited coffee, breakfast is worth it. We had a great night's sleep, overall.

We were three couples, and we were able to secure a room at the Vulcan Hotel. It was a really pleasant stay at the hotel with amenities close by and 15 min walk to the city center. The staff were very friendly, with a delicious breakfast in the morning and a good selection. The location was clean. Price was very affordable. Highly commendable.

We stayed in room 209 and can honestly say I was a little concerned about the hotel after reading online reviews. I reported it to the site I booked it with before our arrival. The positive things are definitely the location and breakfast. It is 5 minutes from the bus and train stations. This is great because the airport provides regular direct service to and from the stations. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a decent variety of cold and hot food to cater to all tastes, though we did find it amusing that they served cooked vegetables for breakfast. On the day of arrival, the room was clean and had necessary appliances. It is also close to maxima stores and lots of restaurants and bars. The downsides are definitely heating not on. We arrived in October, and during that time of year, it must be on. They did provide a small heater to plug in but these heaters are so old that they must cost a fortune to use and some people find it to make them feel stuffy. The rooms need soundproofing. The main road doesn't bother me, but what bothers me the most is listening to other guests talking and one room in particular had a couple fighting. The breakfast staff was friendly but not the rest. Maybe the employers are hard to work for? The room wasn't cleaned the next day and we didn't notice any cleaning around that day either, so there are meritless complaints about the condition of the rooms
