I support previous comments about unfriendly receptionists not meeting star reception standards, uninspiring restaurants such as the great location closed at lunchtime, and only a cheap menu suggested by them for dinner, at an exorbitant price to ensure they monopolize your cash to the max. Receptionists and the owner were rude, this is the main reason why we will not return. The view over the city is nice, but you might as well go for a visit and stay somewhere else. More types of rooms and prices starting at 180 euros for a room with a city view were available on application but I chose to book a room via the hotel and the receptionist suggested sunny side I was dreaming of a star hotel who recommended the best for their visitors. Lo behold, sunny only in the afternoon, noisy from the cars parking on this side, no view, you had to turn hard to see a line of trees. We asked to change to a city view, but they now charge 350 euros for such a room. The hotel promotes deluxe double rooms for three people, but there is only a large bed double mattress and a sofa on which one cannot sleep, they must bring an extra bed, which costs an additional 50 euros per night. In July 2019, my wife and I spent four nights at the Hotel Eden au Lac. The hotel is a beautiful, well-kept, family-run hotel in a lovely, quiet area with a view of Germany's valley, and is full of old-world charm. It is not one of the many chain-operated hotels one would find these days, but a motel that restores the more basic things we haven't experienced in so long. We went into our second-floor room, which was really a suite with wonderful scenery, spotless, and tastefully decorated, and we had a good night's sleep. The restaurant with a terrace and valley has a wide selection for all menus, including vegan and vegetarian options, and the tables are covered in crisp white linen and napkins. The entire staff was first-rate, and nothing was too much trouble, the food was excellent, well-presented, and reasonably priced. The hotel's amenities, including the indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpool, and sauna, were fantastic and relaxing. Although I understand that some people will always dislike and criticize restaurants, we go above and beyond to enhance our enjoyment of the hotel, facilities, and atmosphere. We will come back to enjoy lovely Luxembourg and this adorable hotel.

We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay at a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed our five-day stay at the Hotel Eden au Lac. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was tasty with many options and the staff were very friendly. We really liked that all amenities like sauna, pool, squash and table tennis were free.

This hotel is a little overrated, in our opinion. The standard rooms were a little old. Even though not all saunas were open, the wellness was also adequate. However, I can understand since the hotel wasn't entirely booked. The standard rooms were somewhat outdated, but they were quite clean. The supper was moderately sanitized, but there was no air in the standard rooms. In the rooms with a view of the parking lot, the rooms with a view of the parking lot have a lot of nice traffic close to the hotel and the breakfast was good.
