I really liked this hotel. Great location, very friendly and efficient staff and great room. I also liked the decor with lots of Madagascar antiques and curious. The restaurant is very good. Breakfast is served in a public coffee shop next to the same hotel company owner, which has high quality snacks, juices and patisserie. Highly recommended.

We spent two nights here with my two adult children. The pool is gorgeous, but it is winter here. The front desk staff is fantastic, and the rooms are spotless. Massages are really affordable. Everyone else has praised the restaurant, but we were there when it was slammed, so it took a while to get our drinks and food. That being said, it was a national holiday, and I believe there were a number of employees available. We were a little surprised to discover that when we ordered a double room that we will refer to as a double in the United States, and we are surprised that we did not get a second actual bed, but a blanket with a mosquito net on it because we are a bit tall, so we reserved an additional room. Everything is so affordable here, and it wasn't a huge price adjustment. There is a nice outdoor seating area by the pool.

I spent a week here in late April and then again one night in early May 2022. Great hotel with very interesting layout and local art and artifacts. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast at the next-door restaurant, lunch served poolside and dinner at the upstairs dining room. I especially enjoyed local dishes. Rooms are all different in layout, but all are comfortable. Near the city center, local market, and local grocery store shop rite. Highly recommended!.

During our trip to Madagascar, my wife and I stayed at the hotel Sakandanga for three nights. We were not let down by the hotel's selection as one of Antananarivos top hotels. The hotel, which is spread across several buildings in a complicated scheme of small patios and hallways with a swimming pool in the center, is situated on a narrow street in the city center. It has an ambiance of a boutique hotel thanks to its decoration and local art objects. Our second room, which was luxury, was very roomy, more like a junior suite. Given the extensive traffic on the front street, the wall paintings might use a refreshment in some places, but the room was clean, wellappointed, and quiet like the entire hotel, which is quite surprising considering the dense traffic on the sidewalk. We once had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was excellent, freshly made, and based on fresh local ingredients. Breakfast is provided in the nearby hotel bakery and is also excellent, with lots of options from the bakery menu salad, pastries, omelets, etc. Given all of the hotels advantages, I have no hesitation in suggesting the hotel sakamanga for a stay in Antananarivo.

I will definitely stay here again. The location was strategically located close to the local Patisserie. The staff was nice and very accommodating. The pool isn't operational. However, the bar restaurant next to the pool was great. Breakfast was served at the nearby Patisserie, two doors from the hotel.
